Meghan Markle is using her royal trip of South Africa to repair her “tarnished image” after a summer of scandals and strong public backlash, according to Page Six.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is using her and Prince Harry’s trip to improve public perception after what one source previously described to The Post as a “summer of hell,” which included angering the public over private-jet flying and a $4 million ($A5.91 million) house renovation.

The Duchess of Sussex sat on the floor with other moms, hugging underprivileged children, wearing “old” clothes, and even leaving her $ 140,000 engagement ring at home in a pre planned campaign.

Close friends, including buddy Keleigh Thomas Morgan and others at Sunshine Sachs, a LA company renowned for celebrity crisis management, are advising her on image restoration, according to sources.

Meghan and Harry finally let son Archie to be openly pictured, which is maybe the most essential aspect of giving the public what they want. They had previously only published a few official photographs and were accused of “hiding” the kid.

Meghan’s wardrobe choices are one way she’s trying to repair her tarnished image. Meghan has been seen in J. Crew and Madewell inexpensive clothes rather than costly designer attire. She also donned clothes that she was seen wearing last year when visiting Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, and Fiji. Archie was also outfitted in $12 H&M overalls for his big debut.

“Meghan knew she needed help, [so] she reached out to a very few trusted people, including Keleigh,” said a close Meghan insider. “She has a few girlfriends in the UK who are extremely well-versed in British media.”

According to The Washington Post, she is receiving image advice from close pals, including acquaintance Keleigh Thomas Morgan and others at Sunshine Sachs, a LA firm renowned for celebrity crisis management.

Sunshine Sachs informed The Washington Post that the firm was engaged only to assist Harry and Meghan with their philanthropic Sussex Foundation.

The Sussex Royal Instagram account shared a video of Harry telling his son,  “You’re going to meet Arch, Arch,” as the family walked to visit anti-apartheid activist Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Since his birth in May, Meghan and Harry have kept their 4-month-old baby out of the spotlight. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, however, permitted Archie to be recorded and photographed at their encounter with Archbishop Desmond Tutu, which altered everything. Some of the pictures and videos were even published on their own Instagram account.

Meghan wore Stella McCartney and Oscar de la Renta on her maiden royal trip, which took her to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga a year ago.

She chose a Madewell denim jacket for about $100 ($A148) and selected clothes from the back of her closet, including Veronica Beard and Martin Grant gowns, both of which she wore while pregnant. She also conveyed an environmentally responsible statement by wearing sustainable goods.

So far, Meghan Markle’s trip has been a master class, reminding the previously adoring audience why they fell in love with her in the first place.
