Meghan Markle and Prince Harry paid a private visit to the Queen to select a tiara for the future Duchess of Sussex to wear on her wedding day, but there were several rumors of frustration and upset during the meeting.

Meghan Markle’s wedding day tiara selection should have been one of the many unforgettable moments that only comes with planning a royal wedding.

However, according to insiders, the day was far from easy, and Prince Harry was disappointed and “enraged” as a result.

There are various versions of the now-famous day, but according to a recent report, the Queen was not pleased when Harry said “what Meghan wants, Meghan gets” after she was denied her first choice.

Royal specialist Robert Lacey says the Monarch had a few harsh words for her grandson in his memoir, Battle of Brothers.

“The word ‘no’ pressed a button inside him, and he went into a rage for the first time, and unfortunately not the last.

“There were dressers and flunkies on hand to protect and organize the diamonds, so it was likely that his now-famous exclamation – “What Meghan wants, Meghan gets!” would make its way into the public eye.

“Her Majesty was not pleased.

“‘Meghan can’t have anything she wants,’ the response was said to be.

‘She gets the tiara that I give her.”

A new bombshell biography, on the other hand, tells a very different story.

Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand state in their book Finding Freedom that the encounter was really a pleasant occasion.

Scobie said Meghan loved the day so much that she was saddened when she read the misleading news coverage regarding the supposed row in an interview to promote the novel.

He said in an interview with True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat: “The tiara collection went off without a hitch. The Queen was overjoyed, and Meghan was overjoyed.

“In fact, when that news broke, Meghan said, ‘How sad, I love my tiara.'”

Scobie, on the other hand, claims that while the decision itself went smoothly, there was “drama” in the weeks afterward, which had nothing to do with the Queen.

When it comes to scheduling practice fittings, he says the Monarch’s dressmaker and personal friend found things very complicated.

He said, ” “The drama began when Meghan requested to try on the tiara for her hairstylist because there is a lot of technology involved.

“We had to try it out before the wedding day. The hairstylist flew in from abroad, and there was a scheduled consultation at Buckingham Palace, but no one showed up.”

Meghan kept trying to schedule a day for the trial run, according to Scobie, but she couldn’t get Angela to agree.

He said, ” “Despite agreeing, Angela Kelly is never available to plan or facilitate this.

“It came to the stage that Harry and Meghan’s staff were tearing their hair out since the wedding was just a few weeks out and months had elapsed.

“Harry had to step in and save the day. ‘I don’t know what the heck is going on, but this lady has to make this work for my future partner,’ he said to his grandma.

“We can see where the ‘what Meghan wants, Meghan gets’ narrative comes from now.”

He goes on to say: “Harry had the impression that there were those inside the organisation who would go to some length to make Meghan’s life complicated.

“Until a few days before the ceremony, Meghan had no chance to try on the tiara.”
