According to a new revelation, Meghan Markle, who claimed to Oprah Winfrey that she had never considered marrying a prince, wrote about her desire to be a princess seven years ago.

Meghan said in her explosive interview with the chat show host, “I didn’t grow up knowing much about the Royal Family.”

“It wasn’t something that was part of conversation at home. It wasn’t something that we followed.”

However, a new article from The Sun appears to refute Meghan’s claims that she knew nothing about the royal family, casting doubt on the rest of her interview.

“Little girls dream of being princesses. I, for one, was all about She-Ra, Princess of Power,’’ wrote the now-Duchess of Sussex in 2014, while commenting on the “pomp” surrounding Britain’s Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding three years earlier, according to the Sun on Sunday.

“For those of you unfamiliar with the ‘80s cartoon reference, She-Ra is the twin sister of He-Man, and a sword-wielding royal rebel known for her strength. We’re definitely not talking about Cinderella here.

“Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy.

“Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate.”

Princess Diana, Harry’s mother, is said to have inspired the duchess’ royal fantasies. Meghan teared up while watching Diana’s burial on TV in 1997, according to the book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, and a former close friend of hers has stated that she secretly wished to be “Princess Diana 2.0” (via Page Six).

But Markle said she never conducted any research or even “looked up [Harry] online” after meeting him.

Suzy Ardakani, a former close friend of Markle, has said that her supposed social-climbing pal always aspired to be “Princess Diana 2.0.”

“I always loved Diana and I have her biography, which I gave Meghan to read,” Suzy’s mother previously told the Mail.

“I videoed Diana’s wedding back in 1981, and I would watch it with Suzy and Meghan all those years later.

“They would also see items about her on TV.”

The much-anticipated television interview, which aired on CBS in primetime, was packed with shocking discoveries and explosive allegations.
