Despite what Prince Harry told Oprah Winfrey, experts believe that Prince William and Kate Middleton do not appear “trapped” in their anniversary footage.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary by sharing two new photos of themselves as well as a video with their children.

Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal commentator, said William and Kate “showed the world” that they are not “trapped” in the monarchy.

In March, viewers watched as Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a candid interview. The pair attracted headlines when they expressed their dissatisfaction with the royal family, including allegations of racism.

During one part of the interview, Harry also mentioned how he felt “trapped” as a royal and how Meghan helped him get out of it.

“I myself was trapped as well. I didn’t see a way out,” he said. “I was trapped, but I didn’t know I was trapped.

Then Harry addressed his family’s predicament, saying, “My father and my brother – they are trapped. They don’t get to leave and I have huge compassion for that.”

According to a body language expert, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s anniversary video contradicts Prince Harry’s claims.

Judi James told FEMAIL that future king George appears to be the most serious and mature, while second-born Charlotte appears to be more adventurous, noisy, and cheeky.

‘This film seems to fly in the face of Harry’s recent claims about William being “trapped” in the royal family and unable to act freely,’ Judi said, referring to Prince Harry’s remarks in his Oprah Winfrey article last month.

‘The playful, outdoor behaviour here is all about freedom of both actions and emotions and the three children look wonderfully uninhibited as they run about having fun’.

She went on to say that in the video, the Cambridge kids appear to be “having the time of their lives”

“When children play as naturally as this with their parents it’s obvious they’re behaving as they normally would do away from the cameras.”

Ms. James acknowledged that the film was professionally produced, but that the family unit “really do look relaxed and natural”

According to Mr Fitzwilliams, who spoke to MailOnline, “This enchanting video to mark the Cambridges tenth anniversary was a delightful surprise.

“We expected the happy photographs. Both of them were superb portraits of a couple who are clearly blissfully happy, both with each other and in their roles, where they show to the world how far they are from being ‘trapped’.”

The photos and footage, according to Mr Fitzwilliam, indicate how “happy” the Cambridges are in their royal positions.

The pair have demonstrated that the Royal Family would adopt a “more informal style” in the future.

He said, “The Cambridges are clearly signalling that the monarchy in the future will have a more informal style, which will suit changing times.

“In William and Catherine, we have the ideal couple to face the challenges which lie ahead for the monarchy and the photographs and video which celebrate their first decade of marriage show us how happy they are with their lives and in their roles.”
