Meghan Markle Wore a Thigh-High Slit Dress for Her Royal Tour with Prince Harry
Meghan Markle said over the weekend that she will be slowing down in the coming days and possibly forgo certain previously scheduled royal events.
On Monday, the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, paid their final visit to Fraser Island as part of their royal tour of Australia. Markle donned a striped gray-and-white Reformation dress ($218) to the event, which consisted of the newlyweds visiting fans at the Kingfisher Bay Resort Jetty. The dress included a waist tie, tiny straps, and a thigh-high slit, which proved to be controversial.
The duchess wore the flowing summer dress with Karen Walker sunglasses, which sell for $188, and brown Sarah Flint shoes, which cost $245.

Meghan’s “Pineapple” dress, made by American eco-friendly designer Reformation, has unfortunately sold out, and it’s understandable.

The stylish sundress has a delicate yet high thigh split, and the designs are constructed from “super sustainable materials, rescued deadstock fabrics, and repurposed vintage clothing,” according to the Reformation website.
Kensington Palace shared a photo of Markle with a fan on Instagram shortly after the couple’s visit. The image shows the duchess kneeling on the ground, smiling and holding the hand of a fan. As endearing as the moment was, it didn’t take long for the comments to turn sour, with several commenters condemning Markle for her outfit.
More than 400 comments have been left on the post, with many individuals blasting Markle for revealing her thigh. Some others branded her “inappropriate” and “disrespectful,” while others questioned her royal status due of her outfit. Among the comments were:

“the wife of the future King needs to stop exposing her thighs and butt, because it’s very inappropriate!!!”

The palace has revealed that Markle would be reducing her royal commitments over the next several days in order to recuperate and relax.
In other words, you should anticipate Meghan to make fewer appearances than initially planned, but when she does, she’ll look stunning.
