A royal author claims that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s refusal to release a clear picture of son Archie is proof of the couple ‘trolling’ the public.

To celebrate Archie’s 2nd birthday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle posted a new photo of him carrying balloons.

However, the image was blurry due to the use of a filter, and the youngster could scarcely be seen. Archie’s face was also obscured as he looked away from the camera.

In January of last year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their departure from the royal family. Archie’s appearances have been few and far between since then, as the couple is apparently adamant to give him a normal childhood.

In comparison, Prince William and Kate Middleton frequently release transparent and focused photos of their three children, such as Princess Charlotte’s latest photo for her 6th birthday.

Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, have a habit of releasing simple images of their three children on a regular basis.

However, this isn’t the first time the Sussexes have published a photograph that isn’t likely to win any prizes for clarity.

They previously released a picture of the family in the style of Enid Blyton, more akin to a pen portrait.

The choice of a blurry and out-of-focus photo for Archie’s 2nd birthday was entirely intentional, according to Omid Scobie, author of the biography Finding Freedom.

“This was, as I think we’ve come to experience from the Sussexes, a photo of Archie but not too clear,” he said on his On Heir podcast, “I think this is their way of trolling the world .”

When Meghan revealed her second pregnancy last month, she shared a photo of herself cuddling Archie, but his head was obscured.

Meanwhile, Omid praised the Sussexes for dressing Archie in “jeans and Nikes” a departure from his cousins’ “more traditional” style.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son, is now two years old.

Meanwhile, his son Archie has been showered with well-wishes on social media, with senior royals wishing him a happy birthday.

“Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 2nd birthday toda,” a statement on the Royal Family’s official Instagram and Twitter pages read.

Wills and Kate wrote: “Wishing Archie a very happy 2nd birthday today,” followed by a balloon and cake emoji, in another gushing post posted on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s official accounts.

They posted a photo of the entire family at Archie’s Christening, which was taken when he was just two months old.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles and Camilla shared a sweet picture of the Prince of Wales with his son and grandson, captioning it with, “Happy birthday to Archie, who turns two today”

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, weighing 7lb 3oz, was born on May 6th, 2019 at 5.26 a.m.

What Harry and Meghan did together for Archie’s special day is unknown.

However, the Queen, who is 95 years old, may be able to participate in the festivities through video chat with her great-great grandson.

It comes after the Duchess of Sussex announced that her first children’s book, The Bench, was inspired by her husband’s special relationship with their son.
