Harry and Meghan snub Christmas with the Queen
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may not return to the UK for Christmas, preferring to spend it in America with Meghan’s mother.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will spend time with Doria Ragland in California.
The trip is part of a six-week break from royal duties for the pair and their six-month-old son Archie, which will enable them to spend some “much-needed” family time together.
Meghan has spent the last two years celebrating with the royals on the monarch’s Norfolk farm, even before she married Harry.
After spending their first Christmas with Kate’s family, Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge, and their three children are expected at Sandringham.

On December 25, well-wishers assemble to watch the royals taking their annual walk to the morning service at the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham.
Back at Sandringham House, the Windsors share a festive lunch before settling in to watch the Queen’s Christmas Day speech.
If Harry and Meghan stay away, it means his brother’s divide with him, which he confirmed in a TV documentary last month, isn’t getting any better.
In the past year, there have been rumours of a split between Harry and Meghan, first between Meghan and the Duchess of Cambridge, and then between Harry and his brother, the Duke of Cambridge.
When asked about the situation in a recent television documentary, Harry said that he loved his brother dearly but that they were “on different paths at the moment” and that they had “good days” and “bad days” in their relationship.
The family are supposed to return to the United Kingdom, as is customary, to spend the rest of the holiday season with the Queen at Sandringham in Norfolk.
However, according to a senior palace official, the couple has not yet determined when they will return and could want to spend the Christmas holidays in the United States.
On Sunday, November 17th, Harry will attend the inaugural OnSide Awards at the Royal Albert Hall.
The OnSide Awards will bring the entire OnSide community together to celebrate the accomplishments of young people, volunteers, and workers.
The announcement comes as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge plan to meet with volunteers who have volunteered their services to assist those in need.
William and Kate will host a volunteer appreciation day for the charity Shout, where they will meet people from all over the country who volunteer for the text service.
After starring in an ITV documentary while on tour in Africa, the Sussexes wanted to take a break.
In the documentary, Harry, 35, discussed how he had grown estranged from his brother William, while Meghan, 38, revealed how she was dealing with life in the spotlight, even claiming that “no one has asked if I’m okay.”
