Meghan Markle surprises fans as she makes appearance with Harry on WE Day
The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise visit at an event honoring young people at Wembley Arena today.
Pregnant Meghan, 37, joined Prince Harry, 34, on stage after he gave an inspirational address at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London, to thousands of cheering children.
WE Day is a global movement that seeks to motivate young people to take good social action.
“I’m now going to drag my wife on stage,” Prince Harry said during a speech honoring the occasion on Wednesday.
“I am with you and we are with you. Get to work,” he told the audience as the two embraced and stood with their arms around one other.

Meghan, who is expecting her first child in the coming weeks, looked fondly at her husband during their short on-stage appearance before walking off stage hand-in-hand. For the event, she wore a blue jacket, black skinny pants, and a black shirt.
The occasion was Harry’s second appearance at a We Day event. His then-girlfriend, British actress/model Cressida Bonas, joined him and watched from the stands when he initially did it five years ago.
Harry, who is the President of The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, urged young people to make a positive difference in their communities and praised them as “inspiring.”
According to his office, it links young leaders who are conducting “social purpose ventures around the world by giving them a platform that both funds their work, and shares and amplifies their ideas.”
“If we look at the world we’re living in, I know it can feel challenging sometimes — but your role is to shine the light,” Harry told a gathering of 12,000 people. “Every day you are inundated with an overexposure of advertising and mainstream media, social media and endless comparisons, distorting the truth, and trying to manipulate the power of positive thinking. But don’t let them sway you.”
The British prince continued, “Because you don’t need to hide behind your device to share your voice.” “You confidently voice your opinions because you can embrace them proudly.”
He said, “You are the most engaged generation in history.” “You care about values, doing the right thing and championing the causes that will shape your future.”
“You don’t judge someone based on how they look, where they’re from, or how they identify.
“In this room, you see the world for what it is – vibrant, colourful, mixed and full of promise.
“That is who you are, and that is what makes me feel proud to stand in your presence as you tackle the world’s greatest issues. And you guys know as well as I do, we’ve still got so much to do.”
The 12,000 students and teachers who attended the event at the SSE Arena all did something to help their communities.
The star-studded event, which had Naomi Campbell and Nicole Scherzinger among its guests, was organized to commemorate WE Day UK, a worldwide movement encouraging young people to participate in good social change.
Harry also mentioned Markle, saying she reminded him of “one of her favorite quotes by Martin Luther King Jr. — Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
The prince stressed the need of addressing both mental health and environmental health in his remarks.
“We now have the facts, the science, the technology and the ability to save not just our planet, but ourselves.
“I know you don’t sit back and wait for solutions, you take action and create them.
“Our world’s greatest assets are threatened every day and it is so important that we support local communities to safeguard every element of this incredible world,” he added.
Markle is expected to give birth in the spring.
