Meghan Markle beats Kate Middleton to be crowned ‘most iconic’ royal
PrettyLittleThing, a fashion brand, analyzed how much interest there is in the royals’ attire online, and Meghan came out on top, with her outfits being searched for thousands of times. Meghan’s clothes had been looked up 148,550 times, while Kate’s had been looked up 145,400 times—both excellent numbers.
The multinational fashion company looked at online search volumes in the United Kingdom and the United States.
The desire for information on the costumes worn by royals such as Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Princess Anne, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall has increased in the last year, according to the Daily Express.
According to the research team, the amount of searches for Meghan and Kate has also grown.
The study found that the number of searches for Meghan has doubled in the last year, while Kate’s searches have grown by 84 percent.

“It is likely that this is due to both Meghan and Kate consistently setting trends and being huge style icons in their own right,” the report added.
But Sophie Wessex, Princess Anne, and Camilla’s ensembles had a greater rise in searches than Meghan and Kate’s year on year.
Fans want to emulate Kate and Meghan’s style, so whatever dresses they wear these days sell out immediately.
A fashion expert commented on Kate’s appearances and explained why they are so coveted.
Kate wears pieces that are accessible to many, according to Natasha Henson, editor of British Style Society, in an interview with Express.co.uk.
She said: “Kate often opts for comfortable yet stylish casual attire to fit her role as a young royal and a hands-on mother. These elements may indicate that although she is a prominent public figure, she still likes to feel relaxed yet fashionable whether she’s attending an event or enjoying a family day out.”
Mum-of-three Kate, 39, enjoys wearing her favorite outfits on several occasions.
“Kate appears to have understated confidence in her style choices and chooses pieces that represent her position as a positive role model,” Natasha continued.
“She also isn’t afraid to re-wear statement pieces.”
