Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have a new job lined up.

The Sussexes will appear at an upcoming festival with American celebrities and politicians who are getting together for a concert to raise money and awareness for a good cause.

The couple have been named the ‘campaign chairs’ of a high-profile event called ‘VaxLive,’ where they will demand that world leaders such as Joe Biden and Boris Johnson’share’ vaccinations, especially with India.

The Global Citizen initiative has teamed up with Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry on the project.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organisation is putting on Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World. The concert seeks to boost consumer confidence in coronavirus vaccinations, and Harry and Meghan are among the celebrities who are helping to put it together.

They will be accompanied by an A-List lineup that includes Ben Affleck, Chrissy Teigen, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Nomzamo Mbatha, Olivia Munn, and Sean Penn, as well as the couple’s personal friend Gayle King.

President Biden has been pressured to fork over all of America’s 60 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to India as part of a multinational effort to combat the world’s most deadly coronavirus epidemic.

The initiative aims to boost vaccination trust as well as raise knowledge about the importance of expanding vaccine coverage to less developed countries. “We are calling on world leaders to step up to make sure vaccines are accessible for all so we can end the pandemic for everyone, everywhere.” Global Citizen writes.

The Sussexes said in a statement today: ‘Over the past year, our world has experienced pain, loss and struggle – together. Now we need to recover and heal – together. We can’t leave anyone behind.

‘We will all benefit, we will all be safer, when everyone everywhere has equal access to the vaccine.

‘We must pursue equitable vaccine distribution, and in that, restore faith in our common humanity. This mission couldn’t be more critical or important.’

‘We are calling on world leaders to step up to make sure vaccines are accessible for all so we can end the pandemic for everyone, everywhere,’ according to an online overview of the event.

The program will be shown live on ABC, CBS, and YouTube on May 8.

The US reported that 60 million doses of the vaccine, which has yet to be authorized by the Food and Drug Administration, will be made available for export once the doses are approved (FDA).

Boris Johnson’s Official Spokesman said today that “we don’t have surplus doses” and that the attention will stay on the rollout of vaccines in the United Kingdom.

With a million fresh cases in just three days, India is experiencing a second outbreak of the deadly virus. Health centers have been running short of oxygen and ICU beds for the last two weeks, with some people starving whilst waiting outside hospitals.
