Amanda Seyfried feared that her graphic obscene role in Lovelace would have damaged her career.

For scenes of the biopic “Lovelace,” in which she plays adult star Linda Lovelace, who gained notoriety for her part in the 1970s X-rated film “Deep Throat,” the 27-year-old model stripped down.

She told The Sunday Times Mag that “this is the riskiest thing that’s happening in Hollywood right now.”

Amanda, who was a little less bare in Abba musical Mamma Mia! was concerned what the amount of flesh she flashed could do for her reputation as an actress.

She said, “The first thing you think about is that it could ruin my career.

The Les Miserables actor recently admitted that, despite her initial reluctances, she found it to be lot simpler than she had anticipated.

She said: “It’s funny, because I felt liberated when I was doing it.

“I’m sure people that are very protective of me wouldn’t feel very comfortable with that, but it’s like, what’s the big deal?

“Growing up I was made to feel nudity was wrong because everything was always censored in movies, and it was just like, why are we covering ourselves up?”

She added: “It didn’t seem as scary as I thought it was [going to be]. It was astonishing how quickly I was able to jump in whole-heartedly.”

The celebrity has also discussed how she started watching blue movies at the age of six and worried that it might cause her to contract AIDS as a youngster.

She told The Sun: “I was five or six. Six, I think. It was a cop – a guy dressed in a cop costume.

“It was the first time I’d ever seen a penis, and I remember it being very graphic.. it was so terrifying.”

She added: “It was funny. But it was also, like, so, so, so wrong. It was 1990 or 1991, and so AIDS was really rampant. Watching any kind of s=xual acts when you’re a six-year-old would make you think you were going to contract AIDS somehow.”

To portray the lead in the movie about porn queen Linda Lovelace, the Big Love actress wore a brown curly wig.

Recently, Seyfried disclosed that she enjoyed simulating oral s=x on Peter Sarsgaard, who portrays her husband-turned-pimp Chuck.

‘The simulations were fun to shoot!’ she told Vanity Fair.

‘Because they are ridiculous at the end of the day. So fun! I mean, I had a popsicle. That was my idea. It was melting all over him.’

However, she portrays a dowdy persona as the mother of activist and Deep Throat actress Linda.

And it sounds as though she found the part rather liberating too: “You don’t have to worry how you look when you roll out of bed in the morning and that’s kind of nice,” she said. “It’s kind of nice to not have to feel, ‘If I don’t get to bed right now, when I get up, what if I look a little puffy?'”

James Franco portrays Hugh Hefner in the biography, while Adam Brody plays Harry Reems.
