Amanda Seyfried Says S-x Scenes Make Her Fall in Love

Many actors and actresses in Hollywood are obliged to execute s-x scenes in their films over the course of their careers, and although some find it extremely uncomfortable, others embrace it.

Amanda Seyfried, who starred in the film “Mean Girls,” has no reservations with s-x scenes. In fact, the actress claims to have fallen in love on set before.

The 28-year-old actress rose to prominence on As the World Turns and All My Children before starring as Karen Smith in Mean Girls in 2004. Since then, Seyfried’s fame has risen dramatically, with recent appearances in films such as Mamma Mia!, Dear John, Les Misérables, and Lovelace.

She told W magazine, “I met my first boyfriend on a soap opera. We kissed for the first time on the show. It was like a fairy tale. When you’re young, it’s hard not to get together with your costar. It’s not always the greatest idea, but the experience of making a television show or a movie is so intimate and romantic. And I love acting like I’m in love!”

In her cover interview for W magazine’s April edition, Seyfried, 28, says, “S-x scenes are great. A lot of my co-stars have been s-xy guys my age who are really respectful and cool. So, why not? I’m not going to pretend it’s not fun.”

She also began her career on the soap opera All My Children before moving on to the HBO drama Big Love.

“We kissed really well together…we have similar kissing styles! If I watch the scene, it’s actually really s-xy… We got it done for the masses, and, sadly, the masses didn’t show up.”

Unfortunately, the movie did not perform well at the box office.

In addition to Seth McFarlane’s A Million Ways to Die in the West and Noah Baumbach’s While We’re Young, the actress will appear in a number of future films. At the conclusion of her discussion with W, Seyfried reaffirmed her dedication to film.

The actress remarked about acting, “I’m at the mercy of my calling. I’m addicted. Addicted and scared but never bored. I get to be other people all the time, and there’s nothing dull about that.”

Seyfried, who is known for her candor, also confesses that separating her on-screen and real-life love lives can be tough.

“When you’re young, it’s hard not to get together with your co-star. It’s not always a great idea, but the experience of making a television show or movie is so intimate and romantic. And I love acting like I’m in love!” she explains.

Seyfried dated Emile Hirsch, her Alpha Dog co-star, in 2006, and Dominic Cooper, her Mamma Mia! co-star, in 2007.

Amanda, 28, is currently dating actor Justin Long and appears to be more secretive about her personal life, or perhaps she’s just become more mindful of the media’s scrutiny. “It may be that I’m older, and it may be that social media is everywhere now,” she explained. “I don’t think I was really famous until last year—and I felt like no one paid much attention to what I was doing. That was good. But Les Mis was an international hit, and that changed things. Before, I was a little more anonymous.”
