Amanda Seyfried Suffers Major Wardrobe Malfunction at Critics Choice Awards
Actress Amanda Seyfried had a major wardrobe malfunction during the 2023 Critics Choice Awards on Sunday night, as her archival gold Dior gown with cut-outs and fringe kept breaking and tearing.
Despite the dress malfunction, Amanda was able to take home an award for her performance in The Dropout.
During a red carpet interview with Access Hollywood, Amanda stated “Yeah it’s old. It keeps breaking. I’m not kidding, it keeps ripping. It’s actually like breaking,” as her sleeve fell down.
She went on to joke about the situation, saying “I’m just gonna take off my dress. I’m just gonna take it off, it keeps ripping. It’s fine, it’s fine. It literally is. It’s fine. Honestly, it’s old! It’s beautiful!”
Despite the dress malfunction, Amanda was able to accept her award in the dress, and even put a coat on and took her hair down to hop on stage when the show won Best Limited Series.

The dress malfunction didn’t stop Amanda from having a great night, as she was able to celebrate the success of The Dropout and the Critics Choice award.
In other news, Amanda is reportedly working on a musical adaptation of Thelma & Louise, with Evan Rachel Wood also said to be involved in the project.
According to Variety, Amanda actually skipped the Golden Globes last week because she was “deep in the process of creating a new musical.”
Amanda teased the news herself on Instagram, saying “I am in New York. I was on FaceTime with my Dropout team, my wonderful Dropout team who are the reason I got this award.”
“It is a true honor to have been a part of that. I had to miss it because I am doing something that is magic and it’s musical.
“So I’m finally getting to do something that I’ve never really done. That’s all I can really say about it. Hopefully more soon.
“But it’s a lot of work. It’s more fun, and it’s been a great night.”
Amanda has had a successful career in acting, and now she is branching out into the world of music.
The new musical adaptation of Thelma & Louise is an exciting new project for Amanda and her fans are looking forward to seeing her take on this new role.
Amanda’s dedication to her craft is evident as she skipped the Golden Globes to focus on this new project.
The Critics Choice Awards is an annual event that recognizes outstanding achievement in the entertainment industry.
