Following her sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle’s popularity in the United Kingdom has plummeted. A commentator on the British reaction to the show, in which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a number of shocking accusations about the Royal Family, said Meghan is unlikely to visit the UK anytime soon.

Anna Pasternak, a royal author, told Fox News: “Will Meghan Markle return to the UK?

“My speculative answer would be no, not if she can help it.

“Sadly, I cannot see her ever becoming a loved and cherished member of the Royal Family with the unified respect and adoration of the British people.

“I think that ship has sailed.”

The split with the royal family has grown as a result of a candid interview with American talk show host Oprah Winfrey, which included unsettling disclosures about the royals.

Meghan and Harry have faced a barrage of criticism in the United Kingdom as a result of their participation.

The royals are known for keeping family affairs private, so the choice to talk to Oprah will not have gone down well with The Firm.

For what would have been their mother Princess Diana’s 60th birthday, Markle’s husband Prince Harry is set to reunite with his elder brother Prince William at Kensington Palace. The brothers commissioned a statue of the late princess in 2017, which will be revealed on July 1st.

Meghan will now postpone her return to the UK because she believes she has lost a significant amount of public support, according to royal biographer Anna Pasternak.

Several assertions made in the interview have been debunked, including the idea that they married three days before the Windsor wedding.

Since then, the Archbishop of Canterbury has reaffirmed that this is not the case.

Pasternak earlier wrote a novel called “The Real Wallis Simpson.” about another American divorcee who married a royal. The British author hunted down Simpson’s final remaining circle of close friends, all of whom wanted to clear the air about her tumultuous past.

The latest outrage against the former “Suits” actor in the United Kingdom hasn’t shocked Pasternak.

The Duke of Sussex, 36, stated during the televised sit-down that his relationships with his father, Prince Charles, 72, and elder brother, William, 38, have broken down.

Markle admitted to having suicide thoughts being a member of the royal family because she felt so alone and unhappy. Markle said she was informed she couldn’t get mental health care from the palace’s human resources department since she wasn’t a paid employee. A member of the royal family had “concerns” about the color of her pregnant child’s skin, according to the Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan’s assertion that her son Archie was denied a royal title has also been called into question, as the child is not eligible to become a Prince until Prince Charles ascends the throne, according to long-standing laws.

Ms Pasternak revealed why the Sussexes’ interview had outraged so many people, saying that the pair came across as anti-British.

She stated, “Many people feel the interview was a total lack of respect for the monarchy and in a sense, for the British.

“Because the monarchy is part of the British psyche.

“So this monarchy bashing can also be viewed as British bashing.

“And from personal knowledge, it is understood that Prince Charles, Prince William, Duchess Kate Middleton and the queen – they were just so shocked and saddened by [the allegations].”
