Kate Winslet, who is set to star alongside Idris Elba in the upcoming film ‘The Mountain Between Us,’ has said that her co-star Idris Elba was quite anxious when filming the film’s s-x scenes. According to Contactmusic, the 42-year-old actress said in an interview that she was the one who had to take the lead to get the unpleasant filming done.

“Let’s face it – I’m 42, I have been doing scenes like that since I was 20,” she remarked. “Idris has not done very much nudity, which I didn’t realise.”

After attempting to ‘lighten the mood,’ the Titanic actor claimed she discovered Idris was a little ‘uncomfortable.’

After 22 years of filming nude sequences, the veteran stated they were second nature to her, but Idris and the film’s director were both newbies to the experience.

Meanwhile, Idris was preoccupied with the idea that he was about to kiss Kate, who had kissed some of Hollywood’s greatest celebrities. “I didn’t think about those guys while I was kissing Kate, if I’m honest. I was thinking about her husband a bit more!” Elba observed, before adding, “That is a weird thing to say!”

The Luther star eventually pulled the scene together.

“I’ve been here before,” he explained, “I just haven’t had the film crew around me.”

In the film, Winslet plays Alex Martin, a soon-to-be married journalist, and Elba plays Ben Bass, a physician. After surviving an aircraft disaster, Winslet and Elba’s characters are left in the High Uintas Wilderness in The Mountain Between Us.

Winslet and Elba, who feature in the forthcoming film The Mountain Between Us, spoke on The Graham Norton Show recently, and the 42-year-old actress claimed that Elba was nervous when filming their steamy moment.

“I had to get quite bossy,” Winslet recalled, describing how they shot the scene. “I’ve done quite a lot of these scenes before and poor [director Hany Abu-Assad] was really quite nervous and had an extensive shot list and I thought, ‘We are never going to get this done.’ ”

“Idris was a bit nervous too and everything was moving a bit slowly so I just said, ‘Okay boys, this is what we are going to do…’ and we just got on with it,” she continued.

Elba’s foot fetish was also brought up by Winslet.

“We got naked but Idris asked me to keep my socks on.” She imagined her co-star didn’t want to see her feet because he disliked the appendage in general and thought hers were particularly unattractive.

“It’s the opposite, ladies and gentleman,” Winslet declared. “Idris loves feet.”

“I’ve just got a bit of a thing,” the British hottie revealed.

The 45-year-old British actor previously admitted to having a foot fetish, telling GQ that his 2013 TV drama Pavement Psychologist, which he wrote and produced, was inspired by his passion for feet. In the play, Anna Friel portrays a lady fascinated with shoes, and Elba told Vogue that he sought assistance from none other than Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue.

“Anna’s so funny. She said, ‘It’s a good script, but why feet?'” she said “I had to be honest with her. There came a moment right there where the actor was looking at me and saying, ‘Why did you write this story?’ And I had to say, ‘Well, I’ve got a f***ing fetish for feet.’ I spilled the beans, told the truth about it. I know how it developed and when, and I’ve never articulated it and it just seeped into that script.”
