Piers Morgan, of course, had something to say about Prince Harry’s announcement that he would be releasing an “intimate” book.

“You’ve got to be f***ing joking?????” Morgan, who left Good Morning Britain after saying he doubted Meghan Markle’s story of feeling suicidal, said on Twitter.

Mr Morgan was responding to the Royal couple’s chosen biographer, Omid Scobie, who tweeted that Prince Harry was writing the book because he was “ready to tell his story”

‘It will be “the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him.”’

In response, broadcaster Piers Morgan tweeted today, using crying and laughing emojis: “Ready to tell his story? Prince Privacy hasn’t stopped yapping, whining & trashing his family all bloody year.”

Prince Harry issued a statement in response to the news, saying: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.

“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story—the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned—I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.

“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”

He is also expected to donate the profits to charity.

Morgan previously chastised Meghan and Harry for “marching around like they’re Kim Jong-un with a dash of Vladimir Putin.”

Piers Morgan went so far as to label Harry a ‘sell out’ over the decision in his Daily Mail piece on Tuesday afternoon.

‘To be blunt: Harry’s a sell-out, and this is just another example of him selling out.

‘It’s sad, pathetic, and totally unnecessary, and it will obviously cause yet more pain to his grandmother who is still mourning the loss of her husband Philip.

‘But Harry doesn’t care about that.

‘Like his wife Meghan, he doesn’t care about anyone but himself.’

According to a press statement from Penguin Random House, the next book will be an “intimate and heartfelt memoir from one of our time’s most fascinating and influential global figures.”

“Covering his lifetime in the public eye from childhood to the present day…

‘Prince Harry will offer an honest and captivating personal portrait’

The book will be released in late 2022, with profits going to charity, according to the publisher. His upbringing, as well as his service on the front lines in Afghanistan and his royal departure, will be covered in the book.

Harry is said to have rushed to notify his family about the book only after he realized it was about to be announced – only minutes before it was made public.

The news comes after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex abandoned their royal responsibilities and relocated to California for the last year and a half.
