Meghan and Prince Harry’s favorite foods

Meghan Markle is married into the British royal family, which is the fantasy of many American girls.

Some of the royal’s favorite foods are mentioned below.

Roasted Chicken

Markle announced in 2016 that one of her favorite recipes is “perfectly roasted chicken” “If you have an Ina Garten–level roasted-chicken recipe, it’s a game changer,” Markle said. “I bring that to dinner parties and make a lot of friends.”

According to popular belief, Prince Harry proposed to Meghan when they were cooking roast chicken together. We think it’s very romantic!

Trending:

Pasta

Markle is a huge pasta lover, as her now-deleted Instagram posts showed. “When I’m traveling, I won’t miss an opportunity to try great pasta,” Markle told Delish in an interview. On an average night, she says, dinner consists of spaghetti with zucchini, plenty of Parmesan, and a glass of wine. Markle’s zucchini pasta sauce, on the other hand, has a unique twist: she slow-cooks the zucchini for four to five hours before tossing it with pasta.

Chia Seed Pudding

Meghan’s favourite dessert is chia seed pudding, which she shared with her Instagram followers in the form of a recipe. Almond milk, chia seeds, cinnamon, vanilla, and agave are among the ingredients.

French fries

So, for this one, the royal is all of us: Markle adores fries. “I could eat French fries all day,” she told Cosmopolitan UK. “I love carbs–who doesn’t love a carbohydrate?” she previously admitted to Delish. “French fries and vino are my vices.”

Fish Tacos

Meghan, like any proud Californian, enjoys fish tacos. She uses flaky white fish and corn tortillas as she prepares them at home.

“Season everything with salt and pepper, a little lime and stuff it all inside of a warm corn tortilla. Few bites of food make me happier than that.”

Kale Chips

Ms. Markle is still on top of the new diet trends–she was eating kale chips well before the rest of the country did.

Sushi

Markle enjoys sushi, describing it as an integral part of her balanced diet to EyeSwoon, and naming Sushi Park in Los Angeles as one of her all-time favorite restaurants.

Watermelon with Feta

Meghan not only dresses elegantly, but she also eats elegantly, favoring watermelon with feta and mint.

“It makes me think of summertime. On set and at home, I try to always have a container of watermelon sprinkled with cinnamon because it elevates the flavor just a notch, and makes it feel special.”

Apple Butter Toast

Meghan’s grandma was the one who introduced her to apple butter on toast. She dresses it up with whipped ricotta, which you can do as well.

Hot sauce.

Markle revealed in an August 2016 interview on the Tig that anything tastes great with a little salt “hot sauce! I love a kick to my food.”

Blueberry Johnnycakes

The actress enjoys blueberry johnnycakes in the morning, and these cornmeal pancakes are just as good.

Eggs

On her now-defunct social media accounts, Markle expressed her fondness for eggs. When she’s not filming, her go-to meal is an omelette with new herbs, cheese, and toast, she told Delish.

Quinoa

Quinoa with vegetables, spices, and seasonings is one of Ms. Markle’s favorite snacks or side dishes. Talk of wholesome and delectable!

Mac and Cheese

Markle isn’t afraid to eat mac and cheese, a childhood favorite. “I now buy the Annie’s organic one if I’m craving it, but I throw some frozen peas into it and have this gooey simple childlike meal,” Markle told EyeSwoon. “I used to cook it for the kids I would babysit and I always enjoyed feeling like a kid and eating it with them.

Turkey Meat Loaf

Since it reminds her of her youth, Harry’s girl adores turkey meat loaf.

Wine

Markle has spoken of her passion for wine in a number of interviews.

What are some of her all-time favorite bottles? Tignanello, a wine she adores so much that the name of her now-defunct beauty website, The Tig, was inspired by it.

From baked convenience meals like mac and cheese and cottage pie to both British and American fast food, Prince Harry is as big an eater as all of us (although he’s cut down on fatty foods since his days of bad boy bachelorhood). As it turns out, plenty of Prince Harry’s traditional meals aren’t all that dissimilar to ours. We dug deep into the Duke of Sussex’s royal eating habits so you can diet like a prince, too.

A Nanaimo bar, named after the Canadian city where it is made, is Prince Harry’s favorite sweet treat, according to reports. The bar has a coconut base, a custard filling, and a chocolate drizzle.

Prince Harry eats roasted chicken

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were having a relaxing night in their English cottage in 2017. Not yet the transgressive power couple they’re known as now, it was “just a standard typical night for us,” Prince Harry told the BBC shortly after the two announced the news of their engagement. “What were we doing, just roasting a chicken, and …?” Markle recalled. “Trying to roast a chicken,” she said, after Harry’s playful correction.

But he is said to be a big fan of Nando’s chicken.

Meghan requested that Prince Harry consume nutritious foods like kale and quinoa.

Classic British fare such as lamb shepherd’s pie are among his favorite recipes that he has enjoyed since childhood.

However, after meeting Markle, he’s made some significant dietary improvements. His childhood pizza and fried chicken are no longer available. With Meghan by his side, he’s starting to eat kale and quinoa, as well as learning how to cook it.

He was seen ordering a double chicken wrap and fries, as well as a pita with extra cheese and a side of fluffy mash.

Prince Harry eats banana-flavored everything

Darren McGrady prepared banana-flavored sweets for the Princes, who were then only little people, as he cooked for Queen Elizabeth II, Diana, Princess of Wales, Prince William, and Prince Harry over the course of 15 years. It might sound odd (in comparison to, say, chocolate desserts), but the young Princes couldn’t get enough of it.

He told HELLO! in 2016 that “They loved banana flan, anything with banana really, banana ice cream.” It’s an unusual preference for young boys, but those dishes sound delicious.

Prince Harry eats crispy bacon.

A journey to Disney World when Prince Harry was younger changed his life — or at least his breakfast — forever. Prince Harry was an authority on bacon at the age of eight, according to Chef Darren McGrady, who worked for the Royal family for fifteen years.

Prince Harry is not a fan of pizza

Even if bananas are a potentially divisive fruit, liking them is natural. Harry, on the other hand, has a curious food aversion: he apparently despises pizza.

During a 2017 visit to the United States, Prince Harry accompanied Michelle Obama to a Chicago classroom. Before leaving town, one of the students demanded that Prince Harry try a slice of deep-dish pizza. That’s why Prince Harry revealed that he no longer enjoys pizza, much to the dismay of everyone who has ever had a pizza-based Prince Harry fantasy (we see you).

“I don’t even eat pizza anymore,” he told the group. But don’t worry, there’s still hope. “But I had pizza last night. We had deep dish and thin crust.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are also fans of fast food.

The majority of the time, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex choose healthy meals. However, the two aren’t above using the drive-thru on occasion, normally at In-N-Out Burger, where they try out their special menu.

The two were reportedly driving from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara when they became hungry and wanted to pull over. When the Royal couple pulled up to the drive-thru, the In-N-Out workers were stunned and ecstatic — and who wouldn’t be? It’s not every day that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear in the midst of your shift at a random fast food restaurant, demanding an animal-style burger.
