Prince Philip died on Friday, April 9th, according to Buckingham Palace. “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.”

“His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. Further announcements will be made in due course. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.”

On Saturday, April 17, his funeral will be held at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, the same location where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank wed.

The Duke of Edinburgh died on Friday (April 9) at the age of 99, and his funeral will be held at Windsor Castle this weekend.

At the burial, neither Harry nor his uncle, Prince Andrew, will don their uniforms, according to royal specialist Russell Myers.

Russell told stand-in host Ranvir Singh on Lorraine today (Monday, April 12), “You’ll see Charles and William in their ceremonial dress, their military uniforms.”

“But of course, Harry and Prince Andrew have either stepped away or been forced to step away. So they will be just dressed in suits.”
