In Channel 5’s Royal Family documentary “Charles and Harry,” royal commentators Emily Andrews and Angela Levin delved into the strained relationship between Prince Charles and Prince Harry.

During the discussion, Ms Andrews revealed that Prince Charles had stopped taking his son’s calls to avoid confrontation.

It is believed that this decision was prompted by Prince Harry’s repeated requests for financial assistance.

According to Ms Andrews, Prince Charles, who dislikes confrontation, chose to cease communication with Prince Harry after he persistently asked for more money.

As Prince Charles does not use a mobile phone, Prince Harry would call the switchboard and request to be connected to his father wherever he was.

However, due to the financial disagreements, Prince Charles decided to cut off contact.

Ms Levin added that Prince Charles loves Prince Harry, but there comes a point where one must draw a line.

In her words, “enough is enough.”

This implies that Prince Charles reached a breaking point in their relationship, leading him to sever communication with his son.

Contrary to Prince Charles’ perspective, Prince Harry claimed during an interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 that his family had cut him off financially, leaving him responsible for funding his own security.

Since stepping away from the monarchy, Prince Harry has made several controversial remarks about Prince Charles.

Notably, he openly criticized his father’s parenting during interviews with Oprah Winfrey and on the Armchair Expert podcast.

Royal commentator Katie Nicholl revealed that Prince Harry is satisfied with the reception his recent explosive remarks have received.

She stated that the UK was shocked by the extent of Prince Harry’s candidness, particularly regarding the pain and suffering he experienced during his childhood within the Royal Family.

The podcast interview raised eyebrows at the Palace, as Prince Harry chose to criticize his father and potentially even his grandparents instead of seeking reconciliation.

Ms Nicholl further explained that Prince Harry anticipated the backlash he would face from the British press.

Despite this, he believes that both the Oprah interview and the Armchair Expert podcast have been well-received.
