Sussexes Bid Farewell to Royal Titles as They Leave Frogmore Cottage

The Sussexes, Prince Harry and Meghan, have made the decision to drop their royal titles after vacating Frogmore Cottage.

This move has stirred up reactions from royal fans, commentators, and historians, with some speculating that the couple has bid a final farewell to the royal family and will never return to the royal fold.

It appears that the Sussexes no longer feel the titles suit them and align with their upcoming royal campaign.

After clearing out Frogmore Cottage, Meghan and Harry’s departure has sparked a range of opinions.

Some believe that they have succumbed to the royal family’s pressure and will not resist the king’s decision.

However, others still hold hope that the Duke will eventually reconcile with the royal family, and all senior members of the firm will welcome him back.

In the midst of all this, social media users have speculated that Harry and Meghan might leverage their exit from the palace as a victim card to gain public sympathy.

As their remaining possessions were shipped to their California mansion just days before the official deadline to leave Frogmore Cottage, questions arise regarding Prince Andrew’s situation.

There are concerns that he may resist the king’s decision and refuse to vacate his luxurious home.

The couple’s discontentment grew when Meghan was not invited by King Charles to attend his official first birthday celebration as sovereign, called Trooping the Colour.

This absence has triggered a new debate on social media, with some predicting that Meghan and Harry will soon announce the abandonment of their royal titles.

However, there are skeptics who reject these claims, arguing that if it were to happen, Harry would face deportation to the UK due to his admission of drug use, which is unacceptable under US immigration rules and visa policies.

Finally, after six months since being asked to leave by the king, Harry and Meghan have officially vacated Frogmore in Windsor.

Their possessions have been transported to Montecito, California, leaving them without a UK base.

In the future, they may have to rely on staying with friends or booking hotels when they return to the country.

It seems likely that the couple will now be responsible for covering their own expenses, as there is a renewed focus on tightening royal spending.

Back in January, it was revealed that the Sussexes were served with an eviction notice for Frogmore Cottage shortly after their interview with Oprah Winfrey was aired.

This grade two listed cottage, known for its cozy charm and boasting five bedrooms, is set to be rented out.

There are speculations about whether Prince Andrew will vacate a nearby 31-room royal lodge to occupy the cottage, following suggestions that the king had planned to relocate his brother.

Insiders believe that Frogmore Cottage, which received a £2.4 million makeover from the Sussexes, will not remain empty for long.

The property was originally presented to the Duke and Duchess by the Queen as a wedding gift.

Sir Michael Stephen confirmed the news, stating, “We can confirm that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have vacated Frogmore Cottage.”

He further added that the royal family now possesses a greatly enhanced asset.

The prince’s last stay at Frogmore Cottage was during a phone hacking trial earlier this month.

If Harry and Meghan wish to stay in any royal premises in the future, it is believed they will have to reach a private agreement with the king.

It is worth noting that Prince Harry has repaid the money spent on renovations, reimbursing taxpayers.

Following news of their eviction, the couple has reportedly accepted the decision with an attitude of “it is what it is.”

They acknowledge their privilege of having homes in both the UK and the US but have come to terms with the fact that it is not feasible for them to maintain this arrangement.
