Beatrice Borromeo Casaraghi, a member of the Monaco royal family and an ambassador for Dior, is set to release a captivating documentary series on Netflix.

Titled “He Principal,” the three-episode series will be available for streaming on July 4th, 2023.

The documentary delves into the case involving Prince Victor Emmanuel of Savoy, the sole son of King Humbert II of Italy and the current pretender to the Italian throne.

What sets this series apart is that it is directed by Beatrice Borromeo herself, who hails from a ruling family.

She is the daughter-in-law of Princess Caroline of Hanover and her husband is the nephew of Prince Albert II of Monaco.

“He Principal” is a collaboration between Astraea Films, Beatrice Borromeo’s production company, and MDE Films.

This intriguing documentary sheds light on a dark episode in the life of the Prince of Naples, the only son of Italy’s last king, now 86 years old.

The trailer for the series was recently uploaded to Netflix Italy’s YouTube channel on June 15th.

Beatrice Borromeo, of Italian origin, is not only a Dior ambassador but also a journalist.

She comes from the illustrious Borromeo family, known for their large landholdings around Lake Maggio and ownership of several islands in the Borromean Islands.

In 2015, Beatrice Borromeo married Pierre Casarighi, the second son of Princess Caroline of Hanover, and together they have two sons.

Pierre and their sons Stefano and Francesco are currently positioned in the 8th, 9th, and 10th positions in the line of succession to the Monagasque throne.

The series “He Principal” explores an event that took place in 1978, which remains shrouded in mystery to this day.

Prince Victor Emmanuel, his wife Princess Marina, and their only son Prince Emmanuel Philbert of Savoy share their version of the events, which contrasts with the account given by Birgit Hamer, the sister of the German victim Dirk Hamer.

The series covers the tragic night of August 18th, 1978, the disappearance of Dirk Hamer in Cavallo, the subsequent trial of Prince Victor Emmanuel, and the Savoy family’s quest to reclaim Italy.

In contrast, earlier this year, Meghan Markle, the former suit star, and her husband Prince Harry were reportedly planning to produce romantic comedies and move away from documentaries.

However, the couple has now shifted their focus towards producing scripted series that are more light-hearted and entertaining.

While they won’t be appearing in these projects, the insider claims that there will be a strong emphasis on feel-good rom-coms and lighthearted programming.

Interestingly, a recent inside source from Netflix revealed that Meghan’s rom-com project was deemed unprofitable and has been indefinitely postponed.

Instead, the couple will be working on projects conceived and produced by Netflix themselves.

Meghan’s previous media projects have garnered criticism, often being labeled as destructive and negative due to her outspoken views on issues such as racism within the Commonwealth.

It seems that the decision to distance themselves from documentaries may be a strategic move for the couple.

In conclusion, Beatrice Borromeo, as a member of the Monaco royal family and a Dior ambassador, is making history as the first royal to direct a Netflix series.

Her documentary series “He Principal” explores a mysterious event from 1978 involving Prince Victor Emmanuel of Savoy.
