Queen Refutes Claims of Video Call with Lilibet as Palace Vows to Address False Information
Contrary to claims made by Meghan and Harry’s friends, the Queen did not meet her great-granddaughter Lilibet over a video call.
The 95-year-old monarch, breaking from her traditional policy of never complaining or explaining, has reportedly been pushed to her limit by recent briefings given by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s associates to favored American journalists.
These briefings have allegedly included false information about the Queen’s interactions with the couple.
The Mail on Sunday reported that a source had informed People magazine that the Queen had been introduced to Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor via a video call.
However, palace insiders have denied the occurrence of any such call.

It seems that friends of the Sussexes have been providing misleading information to journalists, which has exacerbated the situation.
The Royal Family intends to address any further false communications firmly, according to a source.
Furthermore, the Queen was surprised to learn that Harry had supposedly sought her permission before using Lilibet as the baby’s nickname.
The Mail on Sunday revealed that the couple’s spokesperson had stated Harry had spoken to his grandmother first and expressed his desire to name his daughter after her.
They added that if the Queen had not consented, Harry would not have used the name.
However, a senior palace source informed the BBC that the conversation was not a request but rather an update.
In response, Harry and Meghan’s lawyers sent a legal letter to the BBC, denouncing the story as defamatory.
Lilibet, a nickname given to the Queen by her grandfather King George V when she was a child, holds sentimental value within the royal family.
Prince Philip also adopted the affectionate term.
The couple’s official announcement of their daughter’s birth on June 4 stated that Lilibet’s name pays tribute to her great-grandmother, the Queen, and her middle name, Diana, honors her late grandmother, the Princess of Wales.
Yesterday, the Queen celebrated her first official birthday without her beloved husband, Prince Philip.
Attending a scaled-back and socially distanced Trooping the Colour, held in the quadrangle of Windsor Castle for the second consecutive year due to the pandemic, the stoic monarch marked the occasion.
The event coincided with what would have been the Duke of Edinburgh’s 100th birthday.
As the RAF’s Red Arrows flew over the military parade, the Queen tapped her foot to the music, smiling and gesturing towards the sky.
In conclusion, the Queen has refuted claims of a video call with Lilibet, emphasizing that the reported information is inaccurate.
The palace has expressed its intention to address any further dissemination of false details firmly.
The Queen’s first official birthday without Prince Philip was commemorated at a subdued Trooping the Colour event, where she displayed her trademark composure and resilience.
