Princess Anne’s Cold Shoulder: Prince Harry’s Awkward Encounter at the Coronation
Prince Harry found himself in an uncomfortable situation at the coronation, as Princess Anne seemingly ignored his presence and thwarted his attempts to connect with the family.
The prince, seated behind his aunt, the Princess Royal, alongside Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, displayed subtle signs of tension while waiting for King Charles to arrive.
Arriving at the abbey without his wife, Meghan Markle, who chose to stay in California with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, Harry appeared visibly anxious according to body language expert Judy James.
As he waited for his father and brother, his lip-sucking and increased blink rate suggested a surge of adrenaline and nerves.
Intriguingly, Harry’s attention seemed fixated on Princess Anne, who was engaged in conversation with others in the row ahead.

However, it appeared that the Princess Royal paid him no mind.
James remarked, “I’d bet he was invisible to her.
All those stories about her being willing to bury the hatchet is bullshit.
Anne was communicating with her daughter.
Harry was attempting to intrude.”
Adding fuel to the fire, a Twitter clip circulated showing Harry behaving animatedly and clownishly while conversing with Princess Anne as she took her seat.
Speculation arose regarding the content of their exchange, with some suggesting that he asked if the robe she wore was heavy, portraying a childlike demeanor.
It seemed that Harry was making an effort to appear connected to the family, but something was said that wiped the smile off his face.
Undeterred, Harry quickly shifted his attention to the couple seated next to him when Anne turned away.
He attempted to join their conversation seamlessly, but the lack of laughter and animation from those around him exposed his foolishness.
It is believed that he whispered, “Is it heavy?”
referring to the robes, in what appeared to be a genuine attempt to engage with Anne and show interest in the ceremonial role.
However, she shut him down with her response.
Princess Anne shed some light on Harry’s arrival, mentioning that he came accompanied by his cousins Beatrice and Eugenie, along with their respective spouses.
Despite the royal rifts, these relationships have remained intact.
Anne first engaged in conversation with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Beatrice’s husband, before turning her attention to Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank.
At this point, an unexpected transformation occurred as Harry, with a wide grin, mimicked Eugenie’s heavily pregnant state by cupping his hands under his stomach.
The couple laughed, but it was evident that Harry’s antics were not met with the same enthusiasm by those around him.
After the brief exchange, Harry retreated and walked alone, perhaps feeling the weight of the strained dynamics within the royal family.
