Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Attendance at King Charles’ Coronation Raises Concerns
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have left the royal family on edge with their uncertain plans to attend King Charles’ coronation on May 6th.

Myers mentioned that while the couple is still undecided, there is no doubt that they will receive an invitation.
He emphasized that they would regret not seizing such a unique opportunity and questioned why they would pass it up.

Forsey acknowledged the historic significance of the coronation and stated that regardless of any tensions, the Duke and Duchess would regret not being part of such an important event.
However, rumors suggest that Harry and Meghan would reconsider attending if they were met with the same uncomfortable atmosphere experienced during the late Queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations and her funeral.
Certain members of the royal family who are still deeply hurt by the couple’s actions believe that Harry and Meghan should not be present at the coronation, fearing that it may turn into a media circus.
Myers expressed his discomfort with this predicament, as he believes that the tension will persist.
In his memoir, Harry expressed his desire for a sit-down conversation with his family, particularly his brother and father, to address the ongoing tensions and seek reconciliation.
However, no progress has been made since his previous media interviews last month, indicating that these discussions may not happen before the coronation.
The lack of pleasantries from the family when Harry visited Balmoral after his grandmother’s death further adds to the existing strain.
Myers pointed out that this was even before the release of Harry’s book, making it difficult to envision a change in the dynamics.
The cooling of tensions seems unlikely in the near future, and Harry may have to accept this reality.
Royal expert and commentator Fitzwilliams suggested that Harry might choose to stay home to avoid further public scrutiny.
His concerns about security, which have been exacerbated by his revelations about killing Taliban insurgents, could heavily influence his decision.
Despite these concerns, some royal commentators believe that Harry and Meghan will ultimately attend the coronation.
They argue that missing such a historic occasion would be regrettable, regardless of any tensions.
It is expected that Harry and Meghan will receive an invitation, as it would be ungracious for the king not to include them.
Myers and Forsyth’s comments reflect the ongoing speculation and curiosity surrounding the Duke and Duchess.
While some believe that the royal family has reservations about their attendance, others remain optimistic that Harry and Meghan will be present.
