During a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show in 2019, Prince William delighted fans with a playful moment that has now gone viral on TikTok.

The video, shared by fans on social media, shows the Prince with his three children and Kate Middleton, exploring a garden co-designed by the Duchess.

The Chelsea Flower Show holds a special place in the late Queen Elizabeth II’s calendar, and Prince William had attended the event over the years.

However, in 2019, he made a special visit with his children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, to see the Back to Nature garden created by Kate in collaboration with landscape architects Andre Davies and Adam White.

The garden aimed to inspire children to play and connect with nature, and it was replanted in a new location after the show for children to enjoy.

In a video uploaded to TikTok by user @PrinceGeorgeOfWales, footage from the royal preview of the garden shows Prince William taking a turn on a swing at its center, seemingly demonstrating how it works to his kids.

The video quickly gained traction, amassing over 400,000 views, 88,000 likes, and 100 comments within 24 hours.

Many users praised the Prince’s playful behavior and commended the young royals for their interactions in the clip.

One TikTok user commented, “He was in his inner child moment,” while another said, “Let the man enjoy himself.”

In extended footage not shown in the TikTok clip, both Prince William and Kate were seen guiding their children through the different areas of the garden, encouraging collaborative play and exploration.

At one point, Prince William asked Prince George to rate the garden out of 10.

When George gave it a score of 20, the Prince jokingly responded, “20 out of 10.

That’s pretty good.

I think mummy’s done well.”

The Back to Nature garden project is part of Kate’s ongoing work with children, early years development, and mental health.

In January 2023, the Duchess launched her Shaping Us campaign, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of the early years and initiate national discussions on the topic.

Additionally, in 2021, she launched the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, which provides funding and expertise for research and awareness.

After the special preview of Kate’s garden at the Chelsea Flower Show, she had the honor of giving a tour to Queen Elizabeth II herself during the monarch’s annual visit to the showground.

Kate, dressed in a floral print dress by Erdem Morologlu, welcomed the Queen with a deep curtsy.

The Queen expressed her admiration for the garden to its co-designers, saying, “I can’t imagine how you’ve gotten so much in.”

Prince William’s playful moment at the royal event captured the hearts of fans and showcased the family’s commitment to promoting nature play and early childhood development.

The viral TikTok video serves as a reminder of the joyous and relatable moments within the royal family.
