After “publicly trashing” the royals, royal biographer Angela Levin believes it “doesn’t make sense” for the Duke of Sussex to expect to be welcomed “with open arms” by the family. For the first time since his and Meghan Markle’s Oprah Winfrey interview, Harry returned to Britain for Prince Philip’s funeral.

“If someone spends hours publicly trashing his family it doesn’t make sense to expect them to welcome you with open arms as if nothing has happened,” Ms Levin tweeted.

Since coming home to England, Harry has experienced “a great deal of frostiness” from the extended royal family.

Before and after Philip’s funeral service, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Edward’s wife, Sophie, did not acknowledge him.

According to reports, Prince Andrew is the only member of the Royal Family who feels sorry for him.

Only the Duke of York seems to have sympathy for him.

“Ironically the only one who has expressed any sympathy towards [Harry] is Prince Andrew,” a source told The Mail on Sunday.

“He knows from Sarah Ferguson – and now first-hand – how it feels to be the outsider, which Harry very much is.

“As far as the others are concerned, there is a deep sense of protection towards the Queen and resentment towards Harry.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex opened up to Oprah on why they stood down as senior royals, publicly sharing Meghan’s bullying, mental health issues, and racism. Harry also discussed his tense relationship with Princes Charles and William.

With the tell-all chat, the Sussexes sparked a new controversy for the royals a year after Megxit.

“They [the royals] are still very upset,” a source claims. “They are putting on a united front for the Queen. They all think he has behaved appallingly They’re both convinced he’s behaving badly.”

Ms Levin discussed on talkRADIO about whether Harry should stay in the UK for the Queen’s 95th birthday on Wednesday: “He absolutely should, but there have been so many things he absolutely should have done but hasn’t.”

“You don’t know what his decision making will be but I hope there can be some form of [reconciliation] between him and the family.

“Some of them wouldn’t speak to him like Princess Anne and Sophie – they wouldn’t even acknowledge him.

“And I don’t blame them at all but if something can come out of it at least it can be civil.

“I don’t think it will be the same again because even if Prince William could forgive him, which will be very hard.

“He was very rude about Catherine, it is hard to know if you can trust him if you think that he might tell Meghan – as one may tell their wife – who may make a PR effort out of it.”
