Prince Harry returning to UK with Netflix film crew as part of big new project
According to a royal expert, Prince Harry will return the UK later this year ‘with a camera crew in tow’ to record his new Netflix documentary about the Invictus Games.
The Duke of Sussex, 36, will be shooting his new Invictus Games docuseries, which will follow athletes from all across the world as they prepare for the sporting event.
Harry will spend the weekend in Nottinghamshire, where he will be in charge of preparing for next year’s games in Holland.
After that, he’ll pay a visit to his grandmother, the Queen, before returning to California. It remains unclear if he would also visit his brother, Prince William.
Harry and Meghan launched Archewell Productions to “utilize the power of storytelling to embrace our shared humanity and duty to truth through a compassionate lens.”

Harry founded the games over 10 years ago, and it’s a cause close to his heart that he’ll be pushing owing to his multi-million dollar Netflix contract.
He will be accompanied by a small film crew when he speaks to participants at Stanford Hall, the Army’s rehabilitation center for injured troops, according to sources.
“The Duke of Sussex will want to make sure we are ready, as the last games were cancelled because of Covid,” the insider told the Express.
“We are hoping that the situation in April next year allows the games to go ahead as planned, in Holland. Our understanding is that the Duke of Sussex will be accompanied by a small film crew in order to allow the public to see the hard work involved in planning these games.”
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle is likely to remain in the United States with her newborn daughter Lilibet Diana and son Archie.
‘Imagine him popping up outside Buckingham Palace with a camera crew? Will we see Harry back with a camera crew in tow outside the palace? You never know. Nothing is off limits with Harry,’ royal expert Russell Myers said of the shoot with Christine Lampard on Lorraine.
It will be directed by a British documentary-making team that has already won an Oscar for their short film The White Helmets and a BAFTA for Virunga, which is set in the Congo’s Virunga national park.
Harry is presently residing in Santa Barbara with Meghan Markle, 40, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, at his $14 million house.
This is just one of the numerous commercial endeavors the pair has embarked on since stepping down as senior royals, including Meghan Markle’s debut book, “The Bench,” the couple’s multi-million Spotify contract, and Prince Harry’s most recent announcement of his tell-all biography.
Last year, Harry and Meghan, 40, agreed to a multi-year contract with Netflix to produce documentaries, docuseries, feature films, scripted series, and children’s programming.
‘He’s obviously signed a big money deal with Netflix,’ Russell said.
‘One of these documentary ideas that he came up with was having a camera crew create a documentary about the Invictus Games, the fantastic sports event which he created in 2013 which have gone on to be a huge success.’
‘It’s a fantastic initiative for injured servicemen and women of getting out with the power of sports and a global phenomenon.’
Since coming to the United States, Harry has only returned to the United Kingdom twice: first to attend the death of his grandpa, Prince Philip, and again to unveil a statue of his mother, Princess Diana.
