Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Pitch Show Inspired by Great Expectations to Netflix
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly pitching a new show to Netflix, as the streaming giant clamors for more content.
The couple’s $20 million deal with Netflix has so far produced only two docuseries, and they have reportedly received only half of their signature payment.
The streaming service is asking for more content, which is why the couple is pitching a show inspired by Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations, according to the Mirror.
The show is called Bad Manners, and it will be based on the character Miss Havisham.
However, the prequel will recast the reclusive spinster as a strong woman living in a patriarchal society.

This is just one of the many potential ideas that the couple is pitching to Netflix.
The deal is constantly under review, and the rest of the payment depends on producing good ideas.
Harry is also planning to produce a documentary called Heart of Invictus, which will follow competitors around the world as they train for the Invictus Games in The Hague, Netherlands.
With Spotify and Netflix no longer on the table, the couple still has many opportunities.
There are rumors of a relaunch of Meghan’s lifestyle blog, The Tig, and more books for Penguin Random House.
Additionally, there are rumors of clothing deals, social media partnerships, and more.
A lack of content was a major reason behind Spotify’s decision to drop Prince Harry and Meghan Markle earlier this month.
In nearly three years and a $20 million deal, the couple had produced just 13 podcast episodes.
The couple’s arrangement with Netflix is different, and the streaming service is thrilled to have signed them.
However, the deal depends on producing good ideas, and it is constantly under review.
It is normal for deals of this size to be reviewed regularly, and the couple is reportedly looking for more content to pay the remaining balance.
The headlines about their public breakup are out of the way, and Netflix is asking for more.
The couple has proven that they can produce hit shows, but now they need to come up with new ideas.
