Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have missed the King’s first-ever Trooping the Colour
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, were noticeably absent from this year’s Trooping the Colour event.
This is an important event that marks the first since King Charles ascended the throne in September of last year.
Although Harry was not invited to attend the ceremony, as he is no longer a senior working royal, it is still unusual for the couple to miss such a significant occasion.
According to an expert, Harry’s absence was expected as he would not have had a role in the parade or a place on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the flypast by the Royal Air Force.
However, some speculate that the couple’s absence could be due to the ongoing tension between Harry and his family, particularly his brother Prince William and his father Prince Charles.

Last year, the Queen requested that only working royals attend the Trooping the Colour event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The couple missed the event last year as well, but this year’s absence is more noteworthy as it marks the first Trooping the Colour since the passing of Prince Philip.
The Trooping the Colour event is a traditional military parade that celebrates the monarch’s official birthday.
It has been held annually since 1748 and is a significant event in the British royal calendar.
