According to reports, Prince Andrew wishes that Prince Philip’s funeral would spur his return to public life, but Charles insists that the disgraced duke has “no way back.”

Prince Andrew, who was forced to resign as a senior British royal in 2019 after national outrage about his suspected relationship with accused paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, is said to be hoping that his father Prince Philip’s funeral will clear the way for him to return to public life.

According to sources loyal to the Duke of York, he believes that when he consoles the Queen after the death of her husband, Prince Philip, the people will soften their attitude towards him.

Since his catastrophic November 2019 Newsnight interview regarding his relationship with deceased paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced Duke has been left out of all big events.

The interview drew strong backlash in the newspapers, with many claiming that his responses were inadequate, and advocates representing Epstein’s victims claiming that the prince had no sympathy for others who had been assaulted.

He was practically exiled from public life as a result of the severity of the repercussions. Until yesterday, when he stunned royal watchers by paying a touching homage to his late father on television.

Andrew made a beeline for the camera after church on Sunday morning, just 48 hours after his father’s demise, and began delivering what appeared to be an off-the-cuff interview to a television camera regarding how the whole royal family was “all feeling a great sense of loss.”

Andrew has evidently missed his appearances in the papers. He went on and on. He was incredibly thankful for the tributes paid to his dad. What a “calm” guy his father was. He was also cautious not to imply that his father’s death has made him interact with the proletariat, stating that it had “brought it home to me not just our loss but actually the loss that everybody else has felt, for so many people who have died and lost loved ones during the pandemic.”

Queen Elizabeth’s second son denies having sex with a 17-year-old girl arranged for him by his buddy Epstein, who committed suicide in a United States jail in August while facing trial on sex trafficking allegations.

He said he would step away from public life for the time being and talk to police about Epstein while the topic dominated news coverage for a fourth day and a slew of companies distanced themselves from organizations and charities affiliated with the prince.

According to reports, Andrew spoke out because he is being more optimistic that he may be able to resume any of his royal roles in the future, hoping that the public’s attitude toward him will soften.

People will sympathize with him when they watch him grieve at the Duke of Edinburgh’s televised funeral this weekend, according to his fans.

“He still harbours thoughts that he can make a comeback,” a source loyal to Prince Andrew told the Daily Mail. “He genuinely thinks that’s possible.”
