Meghan Trainor Falls Flat on Her Back While Performing on ‘The Tonight Show’
On Thursday night’s episode of The Tonight Show, Meghan Trainor sang a passionate rendition of her new hit, “Me Too,” in promotion of her new album, Thank You. However, when grasping the microphone towards the end of her performance, the 22-year-old singer took a tumble and landed flat on her back due to her soaring high heels.

Jimmy Fallon, ever the gracious host, joined her on the stage and they shared a chuckle over the incident.
“Of every single dance move, grabbing the mic is the toughest,” Fallon joked, referring to Trainor’s attempt at reaching for the microphone right before the big fall. “Standing ovation for Meghan Trainor, everybody!”
Trainor’s accident, ironically, happened precisely at the close of an energizing performance, throughout which the singer had remained perfectly balanced on her platform shoes!

Trainor, on the other hand, doesn’t appear to be too mortified by her Tonight Show mishap. Following Thursday’s spill, she assured her fans on Twitter that everything was OK.
“Might have [fallen] down … but I KILLED that s— hahaha,” she tweeted. “#keepinitreal. Thank you, @fallontonight.”
Trainor also answered fan concerns regarding her well-being.
She wrote, “I didn’t feel it ’til hours later. I’m all good though. Barely a scratch.”
Trainor doesn’t seem to mind making fun of herself, as she retweeted a fan’s video of her fall.
The audience gave her a standing ovation, demonstrating that she is adored.
When she discovered her figure had been Photoshopped to make it appear like her waist was skinnier than it was, the self-assured diva removed the video for her new song, “Me Too,” earlier this week.
“My waist is not that teeny,” the pop star told fans via Snapchat. “I had a bomb waist that night, I don’t know why they didn’t like my waist. I didn’t approve that video and it went out to the world so I’m embarrassed.”
