Justin Bieber Vomits On Stage During Opening Night Of World Tour
Justin Bieber didn’t vomit once, but twice on the opening night of his global tour. The young singer blamed his digestive pyrotechnics on drinking too much milk before the event, after puking all over the stage.
The first was the most visual. During a dance performance of “Out of Town Girl,” Bieber spun around and doubled over halfway through the show, while his dancers continued to dance and his backing music continued to play. Fans watched as their favorite singer vomited all over the stage before fleeing backstage. The dancers continued to perform throughout the song, and a DJ took over for a little period of time while someone unfortunate cleaned up the mess.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Bieber did return, apologizing to his fans and declaring a plan to “slow things down” by performing the acoustic tune “Fall.” However, after a few songs, the 18-year-old retreated from the spotlight.
“It’s hard for me, you know, not feeling great and throwing up in front of a bunch of people,” he told the crowd upon his return.
“Will you love me even though I’m throwing up on stage?”
Trending:
“I wanted to give you my best show ever,” he said, “so do you mind if I finish?”
He tweeted about the event after the concert, laughing it off in the spirit of “Anchorman” star Ron Burgundy. “Milk was a bad choice! Lol,” later adding, “Great show. Getting better for tomorrow’s show.”
On Saturday night’s concert, Bieber paid tribute to his late fan Avalanna Routh, aka Mrs. Bieber, who died last week after a long fight with a rare brain tumour.
“Big day today. Tonight is for my angel. #mrsbieber” he wrote before taking the stage in Phoenix, where he later performed his song “One Less Lonely Girl” while images of the late fan flashed behind him. He later wrote, “Goodnight Avalanna. Tonight was for u. I love u.”
This isn’t the first time Bieber has gotten ill while performing.
In 2011, the 18-year-old got so unwell during a concert in the Philippines that he had to take breaks offstage to puke.
The ‘Believe’ tour will continue in the Staples Center in Los Angeles tomorrow night (2nd October) before heading to the UK in early 2013.
