Meghan Markle’s Past: Unraveling the Mystery Behind Her Divorce
In the realm of unanswered questions surrounding the Duchess of Sussex’s past, one particularly intriguing query stands out: why did she divorce her first husband, Trevor Engelson?
Their relationship, characterized by a seemingly unbreakable bond, had blossomed from inseparable boyfriend and girlfriend to a marriage that lasted just 23 months.
But how accurate is the inside view presented in Finding Freedom, a book written with the apparent collaboration of the Duke and Duchess?
And is it true that envy over Meghan’s success was the root cause of their split?
Contrary to the claims made in the book, those close to Trevor Engelson have a different recollection of events.

Engelson’s uncle, Mickey Miles Felton, a lacrosse coach from Arizona, maintains regular contact with his nephew.
He vehemently dismisses the notion that Trevor harbored any jealousy towards Meghan.
“Trevor is too good a person to have these kind of thoughts,” he asserted.
“That is not even close to who he is.”
According to Mr. Felton, the book’s portrayal of Trevor’s motivations is an attempt to whitewash someone who made mistakes and is now seeking to improve their image.
While acknowledging that Trevor, like anyone else, had his flaws, Mr. Felton insists that jealousy was never one of them.
On the contrary, Trevor has been instrumental in fostering the success of many individuals who have worked with him.
Thus, he dismisses the claim as nothing more than “rubbish” or, as he would say, “trash.”
Mr. Felton further revealed that Trevor had been in a position to assist Meghan when she was still an unknown actress, and he had done everything he could to propel her career forward.
It was only natural for him to support someone he was deeply in love with.
“Wouldn’t you want to help people you are totally in love with?”
Mr. Felton posed.
“He was just happy for her success.
Just thrilled.”
He emphasized that Trevor possessed excellent self-esteem, knowing his own worth and direction in life, and was not intimidated by his wife’s achievements.
A perusal of Engelson’s Facebook page provides additional evidence countering the jealousy narrative.
Rather than being envious of Meghan’s career and breakthrough role, he appeared genuinely proud of her accomplishments.
When news broke of her casting in Suits, he eagerly shared it, even reposting the Hollywood Reporter’s headline about Meghan Markle securing the lead role.
He continued to express his delight and support as the show gained popularity and subsequent seasons were confirmed.
Clearly, there was no trace of jealousy during this period.
So, if not jealousy, what could have led to the demise of their marriage?
One possibility is that the alleged envy emerged after their wedding, which took place at a luxurious Jamaican resort.
However, even this theory fails to hold up under scrutiny.
Engelson’s social media activity following their nuptials continued to reflect love and pride for his wife.
In fact, on January 23, 2013, he posted, “Watch Suits tonight, so proud of my amazing wife.”
Yet, within weeks of this heartfelt endorsement, the marriage unexpectedly crumbled.
It was Meghan who made the decision to end the union, blindsiding Trevor.
Following the divorce, Meghan embarked on a new chapter in her life.
She joined the members-only club Soho House, forged a close friendship with Marcus Anderson, the global membership director, and settled into a modest townhouse in Toronto under the name Meghan Engelson.
This existence stood in stark contrast to the opulent $11 million mansion she and Prince Harry recently acquired in Santa Barbara, California.
The stark differences between her current life and the one she had shared with Trevor were evident.

Amidst the ongoing speculation surrounding Meghan Markle’s past, an American report has sensationally labeled her a gold digger, citing old blog posts in which she expressed disdain for poverty and acting.
While these claims may add fuel to the fire, it is important to approach them with caution and critically evaluate their validity.
As the enigma surrounding Meghan’s divorce from Trevor Engelson persists, the truth remains elusive.
