Tony Curtis famously said that filming a love scene with co-star Marilyn Monroe was “like kissing Hitler” when filming Billy Wilder’s Some Like It Hot in 1958.

However, in a recent memoir, Curtis claims that the two stars were lovers at the time and this even resulted in Monroe getting pregnant.

The infant was conceived when Curtis and Monroe were married to other people, according to Curtis.

Curtis found out about the actress’s miscarriage soon after her husband, writer Arthur Miller.

Curtis makes the startling assertion in his forthcoming biography, The Making Of Some Like It Hot, which will be released in September in the United States.

“When I was in bed with Marilyn, I was never sure, before, during or after, where her mind was. She was an actress. She could play a part. She could give the part what she thought a man wanted,” Curtis writes in his book.

Curtis said that their romance died out until they met again on the set of Some Like It Hot in 1958.

He says, “I never asked for more. What I experienced with her was unforgettable.”

He was married to Janet Leigh at the time. Monroe informed Curtis about her pregnancy when they were confessing their affair to Miller, according to Curtis. “I was stunned,” Curtis writes. “I just stood there. The room was so silent that I could hear tyres screeching on Santa Monica Boulevard.”

According to the book, Miller claimed he had spoken with his wife’s doctor and that there was no way the baby could be Curtis’.

Curtis claims he was advised to finish the film and remain away from Miller and Monroe, and he heard about Monroe’s miscarriage only after production was over.

Curtis has struggled with medical and mental issues since his time with Monroe, including struggles with cocaine addiction and despair, the loss of a son to heroin, and most recently, a coma following a bout of pneumonia.

Curtis has been outspoken about his off-screen connection with Monroe.

He recalls bringing her away for weekends to actor Howard Duff’s beach home in Malibu, California, in his 1993 book.

Janet Leigh, with whom Curtis had two kids, divorced him in 1962. He is now married for the fourth time. In 2002, Curtis told gay magazine Attitude that when he first arrived in Hollywood in 1948, “I had more action than Mount Vesuvius; men, women, animals!”

Curtis discussed the origins of the “kissing Hitler” statement in a Guardian interview at BFI Southbank last year. “Someone said to me, ‘Hey, what’s it like kissing Marilyn?’ I said, ‘It’s like kissing Hitler. What are you doing asking me such a stupid question?’ That’s where it came from,” he said.

Marilyn’s pregnancies

Monroe was married three times and had several high-profile relationships throughout her career. She was also rumored to have been pregnant several times, though it is unclear how many of these rumors were true. Here is a brief overview of Monroe’s pregnancies and the men who may have been responsible.

Monroe’s first marriage was to James Dougherty, a high school classmate whom she married at the age of 16. The couple divorced in 1946, and Monroe moved to Hollywood to pursue an acting career. During this time, Monroe had a relationship with the baseball player Joe DiMaggio, whom she married in 1954. It is rumored that Monroe became pregnant during this marriage, but she miscarried.

Monroe’s next marriage was to the playwright Arthur Miller, whom she married in 1956. It is also rumored that Monroe became pregnant during this marriage, but she miscarried again. In addition to her two known miscarriages, there have been reports that Monroe may have had an abortion around this time.

Monroe’s final marriage was to the singer and actor Joe Mantell, whom she married in 1961. There is no evidence to suggest that Monroe became pregnant during this marriage, and the couple divorced in 1964.

In addition to her three known husbands, Monroe was also romantically linked to several other high-profile men, including the actor Marlon Brando.

Some have suggested that Monroe may have become pregnant by the actor Clark Gable, with whom she had an affair during the filming of “The Misfits” in 1960.

Others have speculated that she may have been pregnant by the president John F. Kennedy, with whom she reportedly had a brief affair in 1962.

While Monroe’s pregnancies and the men responsible for them remain shrouded in mystery, it is clear that she was a complex and fascinating woman who continues to capture the public imagination. She will always be remembered as one of Hollywood’s brightest stars.

Did she want kids anyway?

It is not known for certain if Marilyn Monroe desired to have children. While she may have been pregnant several times, as discussed above, it is not clear if she planned or wanted to have children.

Monroe grew up in a difficult household and had a difficult childhood, and she may have had mixed feelings about the idea of becoming a mother herself. On the one hand, she may have wanted to have children to provide the love and stability that she never had growing up. On the other hand, she may have been hesitant to have children given the demands of her career and the challenges she faced in her personal life.

Ultimately, only Monroe herself knew how she felt about having children, and she never publicly discussed her desires on this matter. As such, we can only speculate about her thoughts and feelings on the subject.
