The upcoming biography, “The King: The Life of Charles III,” reveals just how tumultuous and unhappy the marriage between Prince Charles and Princess Diana was.

The book, written by Christopher Andersen, is set to be released on November 8, 2022.

According to one of Charles’ valets, the marriage was so “highly combustible” that royal protection officers were worried that someone would get hurt.

The valet recalls seeing Diana “hurling epithets and mocking her husband’s obsession with the dreary-looking Camilla.” The princess would often pursue her husband “down hallways, up staircases and from room to room” at Charles’ Highgrove House country retreat.

Diana’s frustration with her husband’s lack of s**ual interest reportedly led to her asking him, “Why won’t you sleep with me?” Charles’ alleged response was sarcastic: “I don’t know, dear.

During one heated argument, Charles demanded respect “that he felt his position warranted.” He even asked his wife, “Do you know who I am?” Diana’s response was scathing: “You are a f–king animal!

You will never be King!

William will succeed your mother.

I will see to that.”

The tension in the royal household continued to escalate.

One bodyguard noted that the clashes between the couple were so raw that “violence seemed inevitable.” Officers were concerned about the “sheer firepower” contained within Highgrove’s walls, including shotguns, rifles, and pistols.

The detectives responsible for protecting members of the royal family were deeply concerned that “in the heat of anger,” any one of these weapons could be used to commit suicide, homicide, or both.

Charles and Diana were unhappy even before their fairytale wedding.

Charles reportedly felt pressured by his father, Prince Philip, to marry and was annoyed that Diana giggled during the proposal, calling her reaction “juvenile and unnerving.” Diana soon realized that her fiancé was in love with his mistress, Camilla Parker-Bowles.

The couple finally agreed to separate in 1992 and divorced in 1996.

Just a year later, Diana tragically died in a car accident at age 36.
