King Charles Makes History by Appointing Woman of Color to Top Role
In a groundbreaking move, King Charles III has made history by hiring a woman of color for one of the most significant positions within the palace.
This appointment marks the first time that an individual from an ethnic minority has taken on such a role.
It is seen as a conscious effort to diversify beyond the traditional standards of white British males.
The British civil servant who has been selected for this position has not been named yet.
However, sources reveal that she will be joining another new recruit, Nathan Ross, who previously served in the New Zealand government.

Dr. Ross will be advising the monarch on matters concerning the Commonwealth and sustainability.
Both of these new additions to the royal family will join the office of the private secretary and serve as King Charles’ primary sources of advice, focusing on government, constitutional, and political affairs.
The job advertisement for this position emphasized the need for someone with a strong grasp of current affairs, both at the national and international levels.
The palace has set a target of reaching 14% diversity by 2025, though it has not yet achieved its initial goal of 10%.
An official from the palace acknowledged the ongoing efforts to foster inclusivity, stating that they are committed to progress and ensuring an inclusive culture.
In addition to the king’s team, the annual Sovereign Scholarship Report revealed that 16.3% of the staff working for the Prince and Princess of Wales come from minority ethnic backgrounds.
This represents an increase from the previous year’s figure of 13.6%.
The report also highlighted the gender balance within Kate and William’s current staff, with 64% being female and 36% male.
Although the specific roles of these staff members were not disclosed, the statistics indicate a commitment to gender equality within their team.
This landmark appointment by King Charles III signifies a significant step towards greater diversity and inclusivity within the British monarchy.
By breaking away from the traditional norms, the king has demonstrated a commitment to embracing individuals from different backgrounds and experiences.
