The Princess of Wales, Kate, has accomplished a remarkable feat as her stunning portrait of Queen Camilla has won the prestigious cover of the year award at the Professional Publishers Association (PPA) Awards.

The captivating photograph was taken in 2022 in the picturesque gardens of Reynmull House, the Queen’s rural sanctuary in Llacollwch, Wiltshire.

Kate’s remarkable photo graced the front cover of a special Royal edition of Country Life, ultimately leading to its triumph at the PPA Awards.

The announcement was made by the PPA of the UK on Wednesday, causing waves of celebration.

In recognition of this achievement, Country Life shared the news on Instagram and expressed their gratitude while giving a special mention to Princess Kate.

“We’re thrilled to announce that Country Life has won the cover of the year title at the PPA Awards, the Oscars of the magazine world,” shared the elated team.

They reposted the winning cover from the 13th of July 2022 issue, which was guest-edited by Her Majesty the Queen during her time as the Duchess of Cornwall.

The team expressed their immense appreciation to all the readers who voted, emphasizing that this award is the only one directly determined by the readers themselves.

They also extended their gratitude to HRH Catherine, the Princess of Wales, for her exceptional photography skills.

Princess Kate, known for her passion for photography, frequently captures heartfelt portraits of her own children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.

This latest accomplishment adds another feather to her cap as she continues to pursue her hobby with dedication and talent.

In contrast, the photo of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the cover of Time magazine has recently resurfaced, sparking discussions about its quality.

Many people have jokingly speculated whether Meghan intended to auction it off.

However, it has been revealed that Meghan also submitted the photo to a British magazine, Country Life, with hopes of winning an Oscar award.

Unfortunately, the photo was disqualified in the initial round due to its prior appearance on Time magazine.

Critics have commented on Meghan’s decision to reuse the photo instead of taking a new one or hiring a professional photographer, other than paid paparazzi.

Moreover, it seems that whenever the Royal Family achieves something noteworthy, Meghan attempts to imitate their success in order to steal the spotlight.

Regarding the Time magazine photo, some individuals have remarked that it resembles an advertisement for a hair care product, jokingly stating, “I’m Meghan Markle, and I only trust Moncha Antoine and L’Oreal to keep my hair in fabulous condition.”

Earlier reports suggested that Meghan paid a hefty sum of one million dollars to secure a spot on the magazine’s cover, which ultimately propelled the photo to the front page.

Meanwhile, according to comments from the judges on the PPA website, Camilla’s cover became the fastest-selling issue in Country Life’s history.

Not only did the cover significantly boost magazine sales, but it also generated increased engagement on social media and website clicks.

The judges described the cover as a perfect snapshot of a compelling and captivating issue.

The fact that Kate’s identity as the royal photographer behind the cover remained a well-kept secret added to the challenge, according to Paula Laster, the managing editor of Country Life.

Camilla had commissioned the photograph to commemorate her 75th birthday last year while serving as the guest editor of the magazine.

The image showcases Camilla adorned in a blue and white floral dress and cardigan, radiating joy as she sits on a bench in the flourishing gardens of Ray Mill, her retreat in Wiltshire.

This formal portrait marked the first time Kate, then the Duchess of Cambridge, had taken such a photograph while Camilla held the title of Duchess of Cornwall.
