Gary Goldsmith, Kate Middleton’s uncle, has called Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “muppets” and told them to “shut the F up.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been criticised by the Duchess of Cambridge’s uncle for meddling with British affairs from across the Atlantic. And he pleaded with them to allow Britons to concentrate on “saving lives” and “saving the economy.”

Gary called the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “muppets craving attention” in a now-deleted rant on LinkedIn after they demanded an end to “structural racism” in the United Kingdom.

This is the post, according to The Sun: “With so much stuff going on in the world, still these two muppets are craving attention. Please shut the F up and bring up their child and stop talking, let alone demanding. Harry you have lost our love and respect. Meghan you are a wrong’n. Now hush please we are kinda busy saving lives and an economy Now, just be quiet because we’re trying to save lives and the economy.”

Goldsmith, 55, is the brother of Kate Middleton’s mother, Carole Middleton.

The royal editor of Australian morning show Sunrise, Rob Jobson, who claims to know Goldsmith, said the businessman “doesn’t care if it upsets Kate.”

“Every now and then will blow his top,” Jobson said. “He’s quite happy to speak his mind and that’s what he does.”

The 55-year-old was responding to the Evening Standard’s earlier Zoom interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The couple, who parted ways earlier this year, spoke about Black History Month, with Harry admitting to having white privilege.

Mr Goldsmith took to LinkedIn to express his displeasure with the broadcast interview from their Los Angeles mansion.

Harry, who is sixth in line to the throne, said he had an “awakening”, noting that, “I wasn’t aware of so many of the issues and so many of the problems within the UK and also globally as well. I thought I did but I didn’t .”

Meghan described the nationwide demonstrations as a “beautiful thing,” Harry acknowledged his white privilege.
