Jeremy Zimmer, the chief executive of the United Talent Agency, has made scathing remarks about Meghan Markle, labeling her as a talentless broadcaster.

The Duchess of Sussex had reportedly reached out to Zimmer after being ousted by WME, hoping to join his agency for new PR campaigns.

However, Zimmer rejected her application, stating that he was not surprised by streaming giant Spotify’s decision to terminate its £18 million deal with Markle and Prince Harry after just one podcast series.

Known for guiding the film careers of renowned actors such as Benedict Cumberbatch and Damian Lewis, Zimmer did not hold back in expressing his opinion on Markle’s abilities.

He described her as an empty vessel with no talent, accusing her of ripping off others’ work.

“The Hargles are useless; they’ll never accomplish anything,” Zimmer added.

Referring to Markle’s podcast, he emphasized that fame does not automatically translate to greatness in a particular field.

Variety magazine reported that Spotify ended its deal with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex due to their expectation of more content from the couple and their Archwell audio team.

However, Archwell only delivered one series, consisting of 12 episodes of Markle’s show “Archetypes,” which explored social stereotypes surrounding women.

Additionally, a 30-minute festive special featuring celebrity friends and their son Archie was released in 2020.

Talks for a second series were said to be underway but have since stalled.

Spotify had reportedly paid a staggering £18 million to sign the Sussexes for a multi-year partnership.

In a joint statement, the couple and Spotify announced their mutual decision to part ways.

Interestingly, it was revealed that pop superstar Taylor Swift declined an invitation to appear on Markle’s podcast, despite receiving a handwritten note from the Duchess herself.

While the Sussexes’ £80 million Netflix deal has only yielded a documentary about their lives and a series of live events so far, it seems they are now venturing into the world of Charles Dickens.

The couple is said to be working on a prequel to Dickens’ 1861 novel “Great Expectations,” focusing on the character inspired by Miss Havisham.

Titled “Bad Manners,” the show will explore the life of a strong woman in a patriarchal society, preceding the events of the original novel.

Although the project is currently in development, it has yet to receive the green light from Netflix.

Jeremy Zimmer’s scathing remarks and Meghan Markle’s recent professional setbacks have sparked widespread discussions about her talents and capabilities.

While her podcast and streaming deals have faced challenges, the Duchess of Sussex continues to explore new avenues in the entertainment industry, including potential collaborations with renowned authors like Charles Dickens.

As the world eagerly awaits further developments, it remains to be seen how Markle will navigate these obstacles and carve out a successful career beyond her royal status.
