Royal watchers are expressing their outrage and threatening to boycott the Oscars following rumors that Meghan and Harry may be lined up to present an award at the prestigious ceremony.

The speculation arose after an unnamed source informed The Sun that their appearance would be a significant event this year, potentially allowing them to deliver a passionate speech on a topic of their choice, such as Ukraine.

Show producers Will Packer and Shayla Cowen have already secured an impressive lineup of A-list celebrities for the event, and having Harry and Meghan on stage would be the cherry on top.

The Twitterverse erupted with responses to these claims, with one user named Linda Levine declaring, “If they present an award, I’m done with the Oscars.”

Another user named Philip concurred, stating, “Oscars credibility down the toilet.

I suggest boycotting the red button, audience, sponsorship, and advertising.

Any products or companies associated with the Oscars should be boycotted.”

Melissa Gregoire expressed her disappointment, saying, “I will really be disappointed if these two are presenters at the Academy Awards.

It would signify that they have been fully embraced by A-listers, their favorite people who share their ideals, finally allowing them into their inner circles.”

Ginger Jones dismissed the rumors, asserting that previous presenters like Rita Moreno, Jane Fonda, Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, Michelle Obama, Sean Connery, Sidney Poitier, and Al Pacino are in a league of their own, implying that Harry and Meghan do not belong among such esteemed company.

Adding fuel to the fire, Meghan Markle has been tipped for an Oscar of her own, following claims that she and Prince Harry have been invited to present the best picture award at the star-studded ceremony.

Royal commentator Richard Eden took to Twitter, suggesting that Meghan deserves an Oscar for her performance during the bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

According to a US source, Harry and Meghan were initially approached two years ago to participate in the ceremony but declined politely.

While their attendance is still uncertain, especially considering recent controversies, it is highly unlikely that Harry will be present, given that the Oscars take place just two days before the memorial service for Prince Philip in London.

A source speaking to The Sun newspaper highlighted the potential complications surrounding Prince Harry and the memorial service, stating, “It would be seen as a final kick in the teeth for the Royal Family if he did attend.

He is too nervous to fly to London without police protection but seemingly comfortable standing in front of a massive live audience at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

This could create negative optics.”

Prince Harry himself confirmed that he will not be attending the memorial service for the Duke of Edinburgh at Westminster Abbey on March 29.

Since leaving the British Royal Family two years ago, Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have been busy establishing a new life for themselves in sunny California.

In October 2020, they founded Archewel, a parent organization encompassing their non-profit foundation, audio studio, and production company.

The couple welcomed their second child, a daughter, in June 2021.

Through exclusive deals with major platforms, Harry and Meghan have become key players in the entertainment industry.

However, it remains uncertain whether they will return to the UK this year to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s 70-year reign.

In this modern fairy tale, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are firmly in control of their own narrative.
