Former Butler of Princess Diana Demands Apology from Prince Harry Over Defamatory Statements

Paul Burrell, the former butler of Princess Diana, has demanded an apology from Prince Harry for defamatory remarks made about him in court.

The Duke of Sussex referred to Burrell as a two-faced individual who sought attention and was self-interested.

This came after Harry mentioned an article published in The People in 2003, following Burrell’s trial where he was accused of selling Diana’s possessions.

Although the case collapsed, the article stated that Prince William had hoped to meet with Burrell to prevent further disclosure of Diana’s secrets.

Harry expressed concern that Burrell would exploit the meeting for personal gain.

During the High Court proceedings, Harry clarified, “The article accurately presents the fact that my brother was willing to arrange a meeting with Paul to discuss his continuous revelations about our mother.

However, I had already formed a negative opinion of Paul and firmly opposed meeting him.

Both my brother and I strongly felt that Paul had been indiscreet in selling our mother’s belongings and giving numerous interviews about her.”

In response, Burrell urged Harry to refrain from making such claims, arguing that the court case against him had been dropped due to evidence presented by the Queen.

He believed Harry should not resurrect old allegations as a result.

Speaking in an interview with GB News, Burrell expressed his deep distress and hurt, stating, “I need time to process what has been said.

Harry’s remarks in court are careless and callous.

It seems he lives in an alternate, deluded world where he can say whatever he wants.”

Burrell claimed that Harry’s comments during the High Court proceedings were defamatory and called for an apology.

He emphasized that Harry’s recent legal statement, made under oath, falsely accused him of selling Diana’s possessions.

Burrell insisted, “That is not true, and it is defamatory.

I want him to apologize because he knows very well that I have always protected and loved his mother, as well as himself and William when they were younger.

I don’t understand why he has taken this misguided path because it simply isn’t true.

It seems like a PR exercise to him, and he doesn’t care about the casualties in his fight against the media.

He complained earlier about being sacrificed on Camilla’s PR altar, but he is doing the same thing.

I am not a two-faced individual.

These accusations are baseless.

I was wrongly blamed for something I did not do.

Harry, you know perfectly well that the court case collapsed, and the Queen had evidence that exonerated me.

You cannot enter a courtroom and claim that I am selling my mother’s possessions because it is false.”
