Emma Watson, the star of the Harry Potter series, has given her male fans an early Christmas surprise by saying she would strip off for the ideal cinematic role.

The young actress says she’s willing to get n-ked if the part calls for it, which some may interpret as evidence of the pressure placed on women in the profession.

The 18-year-old Harry Potter actress also stated that if she worked with Italian filmmaker Bernardo Bertolucci, she would be willing to appear n-de.

“Yes [I would appear n-ked]. For Bernardo Bertolucci. It . . . depends. I’m not getting my kit off any time soon. [Stripping off] is part of my job”

‘I’m at a strange age. I’m not a woman yet, but I’m not a girl any more.”

‘They [film companies] say: “Oh, in a couple of years you’ll be perfect for this.”

It will be difficult to pick between the two, I’ll say, “Yeah, but I want to be learning English then.”

It has long been believed that the quickest way for teen stars to be taken seriously as adults is to strip n-ked. See Anne Hathaway in “Havoc” and “Brokeback Mountain” for an unneeded but effective b–b free-for-all.

When Watson was cast as Hermione Granger in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 2001, she was just nine years old. She then starred in the remaining four films in the young wizard series.

Fans who have seen her develop into Granger and who still view her as a youngster will be shocked by the revelation.

Watson recently disclosed that she will take a break from acting to get a degree in English literature.

“I have a really supportive family and a full life away from Harry Potter,” she said. “It’s unlikely that I’ll be part of anything this big ever again, so I need to deal with that,” she stated.

“I’m not going to take a job just because, s***, I’m not doing anything else. I’m going to have a battle on my hands, because after Harry Potter has finished, I don’t know. I definitely want to go to university.

Watson attended the international premiere of The Tale Of Despereaux, her newest animated adventure, last night.

She plays a princess in the movie, which also stars Dustin Hoffman and Matthew Broderick and is about a mouse.

As she appeared on the red carpet wearing the satin dress and a pair of peep-toe black shoes, the British singer gave the camera a wide smile.

In Los Angeles, she photographed with co-stars Dustin Hoffman and Matthew Broderick.

She gives the voice for the CGI character Princess Pea, who befriends a courageous little mouse with enormous ears.
