The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, was captured in a heartwarming moment as she comforted her father-in-law, Prince Charles, with a kiss on the cheek following the emotional funeral of Prince Philip.

The touching scene unfolded outside St George’s Chapel in Windsor, as attendees were leaving the ceremony.

Photographs depict Catherine offering solace to the Prince of Wales, her hand resting gently on his shoulder.

Together, they set off from the entrance of the chapel.

Moments later, Catherine was seen walking alongside Prince William and Prince Harry as they made their way back to Windsor Castle.

Earlier in the day, Prince Charles’ face was filled with grief as he joined the solemn procession behind his father’s coffin.

Tears streamed down his cheeks during the eight-minute walk, as he led senior members of the family behind the Land Rover carrying the late Duke of Edinburgh on his final journey.

Throughout the service, Prince Charles kept his gaze fixed on the coffin, visibly moved by the magnitude of the occasion.

His emotions were further evident as he wiped away tears and put on his mask before taking his seat next to his wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, in the choir of St George’s Chapel.

Judy James, an expert in analyzing the gestures and behaviors of royals and celebrities, commented on the heartwarming interaction between Catherine and Charles.

She noted that Prince Charles, who is known for keeping his emotions in check in public, appeared overwhelmed by grief during the funeral.

According to James, Camilla also provided comfort to her husband, using a familiar hand pat that she often employed in the early days of their relationship becoming public.

This display of support showcased the enduring bond between them.

During the service, Queen Elizabeth II sat alone, separate from the other members of the royal family.
