Charlotte and Louis to have ‘more freedom’ from royal life as Prince Charles learns from mistakes he made with Harry
Prince Charles feels it is in the Royal Family’s best interests to give Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis more freedom since he can “see the mistakes he made” with Prince Harry.
According to a royal analyst, he’s “in the firing line” regarding Prince Harry’s status within the Royal Family and can “see the mistakes he made”
When their grandpa Prince Charles assumes the throne, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will have a “much less royal experience,” according to a royal expert.
As they get older, the princess and prince may become less connected with the royal family and the monarchy.
After witnessing the influence Prince Harry’s childhood had on his opinion of the Royal Family, the future monarch is likely to allow his two younger grandkids “more freedom.”

Under Charles’ ideas for a “slimmed down monarchy,” those royals who are not in the line of succession will have a diminished role. Working royals’ duties may be limited as a result of this.
Prince George, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s eldest son, is destined to be king one day, but his younger siblings are unlikely to be called upon unless he quits his roles or catastrophe strikes.
Their uncle Prince Harry is the second-born child after older brother Prince William, and he and his wife Meghan Markle left the royal family in a stunning exit last year.
“I think they will have to be given more freedom,” royal biographer Ingrid Seward remarked.
“Obviously Charles is right in the firing line with Harry, so he can see the mistakes he made with Harry.
“Harry just did what he wanted basically. So did William up to a point.
“But I think that Charlotte and Louis will have a very much less royal existence.
“I don’t think anything will happen until after the Queen has gone to greener pastures.”
“’It is quite possible they are not even going to be involved very much,” Ms Seward told Newsweek of the Prince and Princess.
“When they’re growing up their grandfather will be on the throne for a bit and he’s talked about this slimmed-down monarchy.
Only heirs to the throne and their immediate families are expected to receive full titles, financial assistance from the public purse through the Sovereign Grant, and taxpayer-funded police protection under Charles’ plan to limit the number of royals.
Ingrid did say, though, that she feels no reforms to the monarchy would be undertaken until “the Queen has gone to greener pastures.”
Since the 1990s, Prince Charles has been preparing for a slimmed-down monarchy in order to modernize the Royal Family, and after he ascends the throne, he intends to keep royal tasks amongst the members of the family who are in direct line to the throne.
The title of Prince and Princess was granted by the Queen’s grandfather to the sovereign’s children, the children of the sovereign’s sons, and the eldest living son of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales – in this instance, Prince George.
“Prince Charles has wanted to cut the monarchy down for a very long time to save costs and to make people worth the money that they got from the taxpayer,” royal author Angela Levin previously told talkRADIO.
“I think the outer edge, which the Queen has wanted to keep together for a very long time for sentimental reasons, which at her age she didn’t really particularly want change which I think is understandable.
“But he wants to change and I think he will do that.”
Elsewhere, Kate and Prince William have also spoken out about the “difficult time” that followed Prince Philip’s death.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stated their three children and themselves “miss their much-loved grandfather and great-grandfather.”
