Camilla Shaded Meghan Markle Again at Royal Ascot
The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, Charles and Camilla, made a grand entrance in a horse-drawn carriage at the second day of the horse races at Royal Ascot on Wednesday.
As Royal Watchers caught their first glimpse of Camilla’s ensemble for the daytime event, they noticed that it was the same pale pink coat dress by Anna Valentin that she wore to Harry and Meghan Markle’s May 2018 Royal Wedding.
While Camilla did change up her headwear, opting for a beige topper by Philip Treacy instead of the matching pink feathered hat she wore to the wedding, she did wear the same three-strand pearl necklace with a pink centrepiece stone.
It seems that Harry and Meghan’s wedding wasn’t so significant that the clothing worn by the now Queen should have been retired for all time.
In fact, it was such an insignificant event that the coat can be worn on a dress-down day at a horse race.

On Tuesday, Camilla took another shot at Meghan Markle with a choice of outfit.
She wore a custom all-white Dior coat and dress, mere days after news broke that Markle will not be signing a megabucks deal with the French fashion house, following reports their contract could be in the works.
While Markle is not officially partnering with Dior, she’s been a fan of the brand for years, having worn bespoke designs during a 2019 tour of Morocco, and is rumoured to have worn a full face of Dior beauty makeup on her wedding day to Prince Harry back in 2018.
Prince Harry also has a history with the luxury label, having worn a three-piece Dior suit to his father’s coronation in May, among other occasions.
His late mother, Princess Diana, had deep ties to the brand as well, with the house famously renaming one of its most iconic purses, the Lady Dior, in her honour.
Camilla certainly got everyone talking by wearing the brand at this particular time, and Page Six reported that the Sussexes and their absence from the annual horse event, where Markle once made her first post-wedding royal debut in 2018, were on everyone’s mind.
The gossip in the royal enclosure was how happy everyone was that Meghan and Harry weren’t there, a source said.
While one insider added that Camilla remains furious at the couple after Harry called her a wicked stepmother in his memoir Spare, the family blames Meghan for the entire mess.
Royal experts have previously claimed Meghan was unresponsive to Queen Consort Camilla’s advice to her when she first joined the firm.
A biography of the Queen Consort, written by Angela Levin, claims the then Duchess of Cornwall organised lunches with Meghan and did her best to welcome her into the family, but her advice fell flat with an unresponsive Meghan.
In an attempt to help Meghan find her feet, the Queen Consort advised her on how to handle the pressure of being in the public eye and the scrutiny she’d face as a senior member of the royal family.
However, the King and Queen Consort are also said to be wearied by the constant attacks from the Sussexes.
Buckingham Palace sources said there’s mounting frustration and exhaustion at the barrage of complaints that Harry and Meghan relentlessly and publicly make about their treatment by the rest of the royal family.
It seems that the tension between the two couples is far from over, and Camilla’s choice of attire certainly didn’t help matters.
