Lady Louise, the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, has made her parents, Sophie and Edward, beam with pride in a touching tribute to her late grandfather, Prince Philip.

The 19-year-old Lady Louise captivated onlookers as she rode around Castle Arena in the grounds of Windsor Castle, Berkshire at Windsor Home Park.

Her radiant appearance was enhanced by a £99 hat and a £7.99 scarf from Amazon.

Lady Louise’s attendance at the Royal Windsor Horse Show continues the royal family’s longstanding association with equestrian events.

The late Queen herself was a lifelong horse lover, while Prince Philip, an enthusiastic carriage driver, is currently depicted in the latest series of Netflix’s The Crown.

In 2021, Lady Louise made her carriage riding debut at the age of 17, following in the footsteps of her late grandfather.

Unlike Prince Philip, who took up carriage driving at the age of 50 after giving up polo due to a wrist injury, Lady Louise began her equestrian journey at a younger age.

Prince Philip once described the sport as a pleasant weekend activity, akin to golfing.

Lady Louise holds a special place in Prince Philip’s heart as she was the first of his grandchildren to carry the surname Mountbatten, Windsor, ensuring that his own family name would continue down the royal line.

Last month, Lady Louise’s mother, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, was spotted honing her own carriage driving skills in Windsor Park.

Dressed in jeans and a waterproof jacket, Sophie appeared at ease as she sat in the driver’s seat of the carriage.

Lady Louise’s recent appearance at the Royal Windsor Horse Show on Friday, May 12th, came just days after she turned heads at the coronation concert, donning a sophisticated black dress.

Lady Louise also attended King Charles’ coronation on Saturday, May 6th, where she sat alongside her brother James in the same row as Princess Anne, while their parents occupied the row in front.

The entire family participated in various aspects of the coronation, including the procession and a balcony appearance.

Sophie and Edward’s presence at the coronation marked a significant moment, as they were bestowed with new titles by the King, fulfilling a promise made to them by the late Queen.

Edward, who celebrated his 59th birthday, was granted the title of Duke of Edinburgh, previously held by his father, Prince Philip.

This had long been known, as the late Queen made the pledge on Edward’s wedding day in June 1999.

Lady Louise, always exuding grace, has garnered a following due to her understated nature and sense of duty.

She played a notable role in the days following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Lady Louise grew up alongside her brother James at Bagshot Park in Windsor, mostly staying out of the spotlight except for special royal occasions, such as the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, where she served as a flower girl.

After completing her A-levels in English, Drama, History, and Politics, Lady Louise followed in the footsteps of her cousin, Prince William, by enrolling at the University of St Andrews, where he met his now-wife, Kate Middleton.
