Prior to Prince Philip’s funeral, both Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are said to have played peacemaker for their husbands.

The brothers hadn’t been seen publicly since 2020, until they supposedly reunited with Prince Charles after the funeral. After the service, they were seen talking, raising expectations that their feud would be resolved.

Both the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex are said to have tried to get the brothers closer together.

The Duchesses wanted their husbands to lay their disagreements aside before their grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral.

Although Meghan, who is expecting a baby girl this summer, stayed at home on medical advice, it’s been reported that she wanted the brothers to be able to make up before their grandfather’s final goodbye.

A source told New Magazine before the emotional day: “All eyes will be on the brothers when they see each other for the first time.

“No doubt it will be a big moment for them both, but they will likely put all differences to one side for the sake of their grandfather.

“Kate has been instrumental in playing peacemaker with them as Harry landed in the UK, was keen for them to speak and meet beforehand.

“She’s always had a close bond with Harry and would love a resolution,” the insider explained.

They went on to say: “Meghan wants the feud to be healed too. Especially with another baby on the way.

“They both want what’s best for the families and both tried to play peacemaker at the start of the tension.”

Meghan refuted old claims that she made Kate cry ahead of her 2018 wedding to Harry during their interview with Oprah, saying that it was the other way around.

The pair made a slew of shocking comments about their treatment as senior royals, the most shocking of which was Meghan’s assertion that she was denied support after speaking up about her suicidal thoughts.

Meghan and Harry also claimed that before Archie was conceived, one unidentified royal questioned what color their son’s skin would be.

The brothers walked together and chatted as they left St George’s Chapel, with Kate joining them.

Body language specialist Derek Heron told OK! exclusively, “It’s fantastic to see Harry walking between Kate and William.”

“That’s a huge acceptance. They are still close. There is still a massive brotherly bond there.”

“Kate stepping aside allowing them to walk together has lots of good signs,” Derek continued.

According to the body language expert, the siblings seemed to be at ease and they enjoyed each other’s company.

The feud between the siblings is said to have started when Harry first started dating Meghan Markle.

When William advised him not to rush the engagement, Harry was enraged, according to the Finding Freedom biography, by what he viewed as his older brother’s “snobbish” mentality.

According to reports, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton played a key role in reuniting the brothers, telling them to “heal” their rift.
