According to reports, Val Kilmer was admitted to the hospital with a possible throat tumor. The  actor was taken to the hospital last week after experiencing throat bleeding.

The 55-year-old Batman actor confirmed that he was sent to a Los Angeles hospital, but claimed that the reason for his admission was “a complication” rather than a tumor.

Kilmer said on Facebook, “Thank you for all your sweet support.”

“But I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operation, or any operation. I had a complication where the best way to receive care was to stay under the watchful eye of the UCLA ICU,” Kilmer wrote, alluding to the University of California, Los Angeles, Medical Center’s critical care unit.

“We are waiting for x ray results and will stay close to my doctors advising, my family and Christian Science practitioner when all the facts are in,” he said on Facebook. “Then I’ll do what’s best and be back at it sooner than u can shake a gossip column at an out of work actor.”
