Prince Harry expressed his frustration and disappointment as he shouted into his iPhone, “Why not me?”

This outburst came after he learned that he would not be attending King Charles’ coronation in Scotland.

The official crowning of King Charles as the head of state in Scotland is set to take place on July 5th, following his coronation as the British monarch on May 6th.

According to a report by CNN, Scotland will celebrate the accession of King Charles with its own festivities.

The publication stated that King Charles and Queen Camilla will be joined by Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, for the celebrations.

The first minister of Scotland also released a statement expressing their excitement and stating that Scotland will welcome the new king and queen in July with a series of events.

These events include a People’s procession, a royal procession, a national service of Thanksgiving, and a gun salute, all of which will take place in Edinburgh.

However, it has been confirmed by the Daily Mail that Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, will not be attending the Scottish coronation.

Prince Harry had previously attended the official coronation of King Charles on May 6th, but without his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet.

The strained relationship between Prince Harry and his father, King Charles, has further deteriorated following Harry’s bombshell memoir.

Royal expert Daniel Elser suggests that any hope of a reconciliation between the father and son seems unlikely.

Elser explains in an article for news.com.au that the chances of them burying the hatchet are slim, especially after Harry’s scathing remarks about Camilla in his memoir.

Even if King Charles were willing to overlook the damage done to his wife’s reputation, there is another significant factor preventing any reconciliation.

Elser points out that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step back from their royal duties and their subsequent criticisms of the royal family have created a rift that may be difficult to mend.

Furthermore, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have officially vacated Frogmore Cottage, their former residence on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The couple was asked to leave so that Prince Andrew could reportedly move in.

Frogmore Cottage, which was renovated for $3.2 million, had been intended as the main residence for Harry and Meghan before they decided to step back from their royal roles and relocate to California.

The news of their departure from Frogmore Cottage was confirmed in the palace’s annual sovereign grant report.

Since leaving their senior roles within the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have provided insight into their decision.

In a televised interview with Oprah Winfrey, they revealed their concerns about the palace’s handling of media scrutiny and alleged racial concerns regarding their son’s skin color.

Markle also disclosed that the intense media scrutiny led her to contemplate suicide.

As Prince Harry continues to navigate his new life outside the royal family, it remains uncertain where he and Meghan Markle would stay if they were to visit the UK.

However, it seems evident that their absence from King Charles’ Scottish coronation is a reflection of the strained relationship between father and son and the consequences of their decision to step back from their royal duties.
