Camilla, the current queen, has a special place where she likes to spend her time away from royal duties.

While King Charles enjoys the peacefulness of his Highgrove home in Gloucestershire, Camilla retreats to Ray Mill Manor, a private property she acquired in 1995 during her divorce from Andrew Parker Bowles.

Ray Mill is located near Camilla’s daughter, Laura Lopez, who frequently visits with her three children.

Experts believe that this house serves as Camilla’s sanctuary, a haven where she can escape the pressures of public attention.

Here, she can be herself without the constraints of royal protocols, makeup, and fancy outfits.

At Ray Mill, Camilla can dress comfortably, abandon makeup, and indulge in activities such as gardening, watching TV, and cooking dinner for everyone.

The house, estimated to be worth £850,000, showcases luxurious interiors that have been shared on the internet.

It is evident that the current King of Great Britain has invested significantly in creating a cozy environment for his wife.

Although the rooms may appear tidier in the pictures than in Camilla’s presence, as she is known to not prioritize cleaning, the house offers a magnificent flowering garden, a swimming pool, stables, and numerous art objects and antiques.

The interior boasts wood details, valuable paintings, and high ceilings, all reflecting a sense of luxury befitting a historic home.

The living room features large windows that offer breathtaking views of nature.

Interestingly, it was in Ray Mill’s garden that photographs for Camilla’s 75th birthday were taken, which subsequently made the cover of Country Life magazine.

These images portrayed Camilla as a quintessential Englishwoman who adores nature, animals, and country life.

Having lived in this house for many years, it is only natural for Charles’ wife to have countless cherished memories associated with it.

Her close circle, including her sister Annabelle, friends, children, grandchildren, and even her ex-husband Andrew, frequently gather at Ray Mill.

Experts suggest that if Charles were to pass away before Camilla, and William ascends the throne, it is highly likely that Camilla would return to this beloved home.

The question of Camilla’s future in the event she outlives her spouse is a concern, but there are currently no indications that Prince William will provide her with a palace.

Charles will undoubtedly ensure that his wife lacks nothing, but it is probable that she would continue living in her own home, which she purchased after divorcing Andrew Parker Bowles, rather than residing in royal residences.

Regarding her title, there is little debate.

Camilla would be referred to as the Queen Dowager, as the title of Queen Consort or simply Queen would belong to Princess Catherine of Wales.

According to the law, Camilla and Andrew’s children do not inherit any titles unless Charles bestows them with some during their lifetimes.

However, that is a topic for another time.
